[edit]Strange how this article skirts around the failed PhD in the history of Socialism, and the 7 years on t'dole in an area offering full employment - rest of the SWP in the area can remember it, why cant' the author of this page???- DrLofthouse 2 April 2006 According to the guardian 'ask aristotle' he was born in birmingham. according to Milburn he was brought up in Tow Law82.47.176.254 17:27, 1 March 2007 (UTC)mikeL
NPOV-section: Post government
[edit]"In addition to believing that it is appropriate for a Labour MP to actively support the back door privatisation of the NHS, Mr. Milburn also erroneously believes that moving power and decision-making away from central government to the individual is a 'centre left' policy[4]."
Asserting Alam Milburn MP 'erroneously' believes in privatisation and decentralisation is a biased viewpoint, not fact.

Stokesley
[edit]The article says he grew up in Newcastle, but that he was educated at Stokesley Comprehensive School. Presumably this is just the high school in Stokesley (that article claims him as an alumnus), so clearly he can't have lived in Newcastle and gone to School 50 miles away in Stokesley. -- Finlay McWalter • Talk 12:26, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
Like most Labour Party has-beans such as Blair, Prescott, et.al., Milburn likes to keep his educational attainments elestic - that is, exagerated porkies and blatent bullshit in the hope no one will notice. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.192.60.30 (talk) 13:38, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
