Objection to deletion

[edit]

I object to this page being deleted because "Acting under a description" is an important idea in philosophy, just as existentialism is an important idea in philosophy. Also the proposed deletion occurred within one minute of the first draft being submitted. It is my intention to invite other scholars to work on the entry, and I too will continue to work on the entry.

At the very least, please allow a week for the development of the article, rather than rushing to judgement.

I am still developing the article. Note "genitalia" is in the article for a specific reason, please don't roll back Amerywu (talk) 07:54, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would appreciate guidance as to what specific aspects of the article involve synthesis. I have reread several reviews and journal articles and I am very familiar both with this book and other related work by Hacking. I am fairly confident that the article is a report of Hacking's position and its application in theoretical psychology —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amerywu (talkcontribs) 04:53, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Synthesis

[edit]

This article does not contain contain previously unpublished synthesis of published material that conveys ideas not attributable to the original sources. All ideas are ideas presented by Anscombe and Hacking and have been cited as such. I have also cited supporting argument from other scholars writing in peer reviewed journals. The onus is on the editor to show where the synthesis may be. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amerywu (talkcontribs) 15:55, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
