Simple divisibility test!?

With respect to divisibility, nineteen has a very simple test: 19 divides 100×a+b if and only if it divides a+4×b.

I hardly think that's simple, and certainly not very simple. My standard for a simple divisibility test is whether performing the divisibility test is actually easier than dividing the number. In the case of this divisibility test, I think it's a lot easier to just divide the number. PrimeFan 21:38, 29 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Ok we can argue about it being a key number but it certainly is a very important no. in chemistry like a code which was discovered by Dr. Plichta. Goto http://www.submission.org/miracle/19-chemistry.html , youll see plichtas calcs past half the article but do go through all of it.

Wikepedia on 19 information

Since your format is so spartan, just to let you know that your article on 19 will be a humorous  show peice in the book on non linear mathematics, and the book without giving its name is based on 19 prime and features the name of one of the most distinguished mathematician of the world who is on Wikepedia on its cover , and proves that the number 19 and its inverse is the center peice of all non linear mathematics. 
I suppose we can give you an equation to give all you "Spartans" a hint: sans the thieves that abound in mathematics today

Mystery of number (19) and what Does Number (19) Means in Holy Qur'an, Bible and Torah?

Since multiplication of any number by (19) resulted the value of the same multiplier after summing the Least common numbers contains in the output. Using the origin encoding then extract the decoding for any language, could we reach the first mankind language by our father ADAM? Does it be extracted by mathematical calculation of the digital value of the alphabet letter or from the digital encoding of the language voice waves?

I God Willing intend to add some statements on number 19 in the "Religion" section to show number 19's association with the Quran as its code.

For example, it’s the sum of the first powers of 9 and 10 and the difference between the second powers of 9 and 10 (Martin Gardner, Scientific American, Sept. 1980, p. 22).

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ (١ [Quran 1:1] In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.*

And, we would need to know that Dr. Rashad Khalifa is an expert (whether or not you are he), or published in what we consider reliable sources. It is a fact that Quran has 114 = 19x6 Suras (Chapters). This is confirmed http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Quran (please see 3rd sentence). I trust you have no reservation on this else please share your research.

Thanks again Arthur for sharing your points of view. The idea is to present the number 19 as the common base by using those facts which are simple and easy to verify. These facts can also be verified by using Quran data from sites and sources independent of United Submitters International. The independent sources include following,

6. It follows that the total of the sura numbers from 9 to 27 (9+10+11+12+...+26+27) is 342, or 19 x 18.

7. This total (342) also equals the number of words between the two Basmalahs of Sura 27, and 342 = 19 x 18.

8. The famous first revelation (96:1-5) consists of 19 words.

9. This 19-worded first revelation consists of 76 letters 19 x 4.

10. Sura 96, first in the chronological sequence, consists of 19 verses .

11. This first chronological sura is placed atop the last 19 suras.

12. Sura 96 consists of 304 Arabic letters, and 304 equals 19 x 16.

13. The last revelation (Sura 110) consists of 19 words.

14. The first verse of the last revelation (110:1) consists of 19 letters.

15. 14 different Arabic letters, form 14 different sets of "Quranic Initials" (such as A.L.M. of 2:1), and prefix 29 suras. These numbers

       add up to 14+14+29 = 57= 19 x 3. 

16. The total of the 29 sura numbers where the Quranic Initials occur is 2+3+7+...+50+68 = 822, and 822+14 (14 sets of initials) equals

       836, or 19 x 44. 

17. Between the first initialed sura (Sura 2) and the last initialed sura (Sura 68) there are 38 un-initialed suras 19 x 2.

18. Between the first and last initialed sura there are19 sets of alternating “initialed” and “uninitialed” suras.

19. The Quran mentions 30 different numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 19, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 99, 100, 200, 300,

      1000, 2000, 3000, 5000, 50000, & 100000. The sum of these numbers is 162146, which equals 19x8534.

20. When you recite "The Key" in Arabic, your lips touch each other precisely 19 times. Your lips touch each other where the letters "B" and "M" occur. There are 4 "B's" and 15 "M's" and this adds p to 19. The gematrical value of the 4 "B's" is 4x2=8, and the gematrical value of the 15 "M's" is 15x40=600. The total gematrical value of the 4 "B's" and 15 "M's" is 608, that is 19x32.

Could you please equitably also consider the following additional common sense reasons submitted here and elaborate why the Quran’s 19 code should be discriminated against in Wikipedia because the majority of those following “mainstream” Islam have not proclaimed it as visible to you?

1. It is apparent that “mainstream” Islam led by numerous opposing and dissenting cultural, religious sects, political, military leaders, kings and dictators has been far from cohesive ¬-- as clearly shown by continuing bloodshed in the Middle East and elsewhere, limitations on freedoms, peer pressure, terrorism and such.

2. In the above context, the sources relating to the Mathematical code 19 in the Quran additionally demonstrated below, are from “mainstream” Islam – for example – please see paragraphs 2 (a) to 4 below:

Your previous post falls under WP:TL;DR. Still not a good idea, in my opinion. Even where accuracy is not disputed, notability, even among scholars of the Quran, is disputed. If you can attribute the claims as relevant to a notable sect of Islam, they could be listed in regard that sect. You mean Hebrew ואחד Arabic واحد . You're kind of cheating a little with the Hebrew, since the "w" in Hebrew is the word for "and", so the Hebrew form means "and one" (not just one). I really don't know what that means -- the Proto-Indo-European word for "nine" was something like *newn (with syllabic final "n"), while the Proto-Semitic word for "nine" was something like *tišʕu (where ʕ is a voiced pharyngeal sound of a type which does not occur in Indo-European languages). The words in the various daughter languages manifest this basic difference. If any number words are compared between Semitic and Proto-Indo-European, it's usually those for "six" and/or "seven"... Understand your view on the pronunciation, but the issue here is the similarity between these languages wherein numerals 1 and 9 look similar. The other point that I missed replying to AnonMoos concern about the letter ‘v’ of ‘vahd’ in Hebrew, it is same in Arabic also no wonder why words in Arabic are borrowed from Hebrew http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Arabic_language . In Arabic also ‘ w=و ’ the first letter of ‘Waahed’ which also means ‘and’, while ‘echadh’ of Hebrew is same as ‘ahad’ in Arabic. It depends on the context both ‘ahad’ and ‘waahed’ are used in Arabic depending on the usage, however when referring to number one it is referred as ‘Waahed’ a word with ‘w’. http://translate.google.com/#en%7Car%7C

On Google translation you may enter ‘ahad’ and ‘waahed’ for Arabic to convert it to English the answer is still ONE in either cases and if you were to do the same by typing ONE in English and convert to Hebrew one of the answers is אחדת. Re: newn vs. tišʕu -- if you don't mean pronunciation, then I really don't know what you mean, and you need to clarify your meaning before you can expect to get this into the article.
Re: Hebrew ואחד Arabic واحد -- they're really not the same. The Hebrew language underwent a change of sounds according to which "w" at the beginning of a word became "y". That's why if you look in a Biblical Hebrew dictionary, you'll see hardly any words beginning with "w-", except for the basic monoconsonantal conjunction (which escaped the sound change) and a few foreign-language names. The consonantal root of Arabic واحد is w-ħ-d, which by sounds corresponds with Hebrew root y-ħ-d. The Hebrew root y-ħ-d shows up in a few words, generally meaning "together, community", but the Hebrew word meaning "one" derives from a root ʔ-ħ-d (i.e. glottal stop + voiceless pharyngeal + voiced dental stop). The Hebrew consonantal root ʔ-ħ-d is obviously related in some way with root y-ħ-d, but the overall conclusion is the same as before -- the "w" in ואחד is the conjunction prefix (not part of the root), and therefore the meaning is "and one" (or sometimes "but one"), not just "one"...
