Gukjeh (Persian: گوكجه)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Zavkuh Rural District of Pishkamar District, Kalaleh County, Golestan province, Iran.[4] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Pishkamar,[5] now the city of Faraghi.[6]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,390 in 288 households, when it was in Tamran Rural District of the Central District.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 1,332 people in 370 households,[8] by which time Zavkuh Rural District had been separated from the district in the establishment of Pishkamar District. Gukjeh was transferred to the rural district.[4] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 1,381 people in 409 households.[2]
