Submission declined on 4 November 2023 by CNMall41 (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Mark Loughman is an English musician, author, and entrepreneur. Born in Manchester, England, he currently resides in Southern California.
Career
[edit]Mark Loughman gained prominence during the 'Madchester' period of the mid-1990s,[1] where he played with bands such as Happy Mondays, Soda, and Elbow.
After a support slot with Sting in 1998, Loughman felt a desire for new horizons. In search of adventure, he embarked on a journey through North America, supporting himself by busking. Arriving in New York City with only a bag and a guitar, he relied on his musical talent to make a living. His travels led him to iconic music cities such as Nashville and Memphis.
Loughman's musical journey eventually brought him to Los Angeles, where he decided to establish permanent residency in 2000. While in Hollywood, he had the opportunity to perform with acts such as The Charlatans and Reeves Gabrels Band. However, he realized that solely pursuing music was not sufficient to sustain a fulfilling lifestyle. This realization prompted a transition from playing music to becoming a technician, utilizing his skills in soldering and technology.[2]
After several years working behind the scenes in the music industry, Loughman's passion for performing was rekindled. Encouraged by his peers, he returned to the studio and released his debut album, titled Mark Loughman. The album, a fusion of 70s glam, punk, and indie rock, showcased influences from artists such as Marc Bolan, David Bowie, and Paul McCartney. It also featured local guest musicians, including Kenny Aronoff, Chris Chaney, Allan Holdsworth, Josh Homme, and Matt Sorum.[3]
