  • Comment: Resubmitted almost immediately with the sole edit being to add a parameter "url-status=live", something which makes no difference whatsoever to showing notability. I do not re-review very often, but I do re-review when no effort has been made to address the earlier concerns
The article has been deleted previousy at AfD and needs to show both that it is substantially different and that Stanley is definitely notable in a Wikipedia sense. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 14:11, 13 January 2025 (UTC)

Kafuko Stanley (born April 28, 1998) is a Ugandan political activist and entrepreneur. He is a member of the National Unity Platform (NUP),[1][2] the leading opposition political party in the country. He currently serves as the Digital Content Manager of Party. He is also a member of the People Power Movement and a close ally of Bobi Wine, the NUP president.[3]

Early life & Education

[edit]

Stanley was born on April 28, 1998 in Mukono, a district in the central region of Uganda, to James Gwebatala and Margaret Abukawo. He attended Sonlight Learning Center, and later St. Pontiano Ngondwe's Senior Secondary School where he obtained the Uganda Certificate of Education in 2014 and later the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education in 2016.

In 2022, he enrolled at Cavendish University Uganda in Kampala to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Law. Unfortunately, he was forced to put a hold on his studies after fleeing the country in 2024,[2] citing political persecution.

In 2018, he became interested in Uganda's politics and embarked on a journey to join the People Power Movement, a social economic movement led by vibrant Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert, Bobi Wine, a youthful popstar turned politician who had just won the race to represent the Kyadondo East constituency in the 11th Parliament of Uganda. He managed to join the movement, and in 2020, Stanley was offered a position to become the social media manager and website manager of the People Power Movement and the National Unity Platform, the political wing of the movement. During the campaigns for the 2021 general elections, Stanley and more than 100 of his colleagues, as they were part of the presidential candidacy, Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert, were arrested in Kalangala.[4][5][6][7] They would spend the next six months in prison as political prisoners.[8][9]
