This article may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion because in its current form it serves only to promote or publicise an entity, person, product, or idea, and would require a fundamental rewrite in order to become encyclopedic. However, the mere fact that a company, organization, or product is a page's subject does not, on its own, qualify that page for deletion under this criterion. This criterion also does not apply where substantial encyclopedic content would remain after removing the promotional material as deletion is not cleanup; in this case please remove the promotional material yourself, or add the {{advert}} tag to alert others to do so. See CSD G11.

Zuri Health is a Kenya-based digital health platform offering healthcare solutions across Africa. Founded in 2021, the company operates through mobile applications, websites, and SMS services, enabling patients to connect with healthcare providers.[1][2]
History
[edit]Zuri Health was launched by Ikechukwu Arthur Anoke and Daisy Isiaho in 2021 with a mission to address challenges in healthcare accessibility across Africa.[3] Zuri as a company collaborates with doctors, pharmacies, laboratories, and other healthcare providers to deliver an integrated healthcare experience. Its platform caters to diverse populations, including people with limited access to smartphones or internet connectivity, by offering SMS-based healthcare services.[4]
In May 2022, Zuri secured $1.3 million in pre-seed funding from DOB Equity, Launch Africa, and Founders Factory Africa.[5] Later that year, it received a $50,000 grant from the Gates Foundation.[6] In 2023, UM6P Ventures, Five35 Ventures, and Marula Square invested in the company to support expansion and technology improvements.[7]
Zuri initially launched in Kenya. By 2023 it was operating in Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, and Zambia. In 2024, Zuri won Britam Provider Award in Kenya for being the best healthcare provider using technology.[8]
Medical focus
[edit]Zuri enables patients to access virtual doctor consultations through SMS, mobile applications, and online platforms. Zuri guides users in evaluating their health conditions and offers recommendations for appropriate medical attention using digital symptom assessment system. This approach streamlines the consultation process and ensures timely medical intervention.[9]
Zuri facilitates pharmacy services, allowing users to request prescriptions and order medications, which are then delivered through partnered pharmacies.[10] The platform also integrates laboratory and diagnostic testing, enabling patients to book tests and receive results digitally, thereby simplifying the medical testing process and improving access to critical healthcare insights.[7]
As reported in 2023, the partnership with Google AI allows Zuri to employ AI-powered analytics to generate personalized health recommendations.[11] A key feature of the platform is its SMS-based healthcare access, specifically designed for individuals without smartphones or internet connectivity.[12] Through USSD codes, users can seek medical advice, schedule appointments, and receive prescription details.[13] [14]
