Ziying Zhou

Ziying Zhou (Chinese: 周姿莹) is a British-Chinese etiquette expert, former banker, and coach. She offers guidance on etiquette, social skills, and professional decorum to both individuals and corporate clients worldwide. Zhou is the founder of Berkeley Etiquette.

Early life and education

Ziying Zhou was born in Shandong, China, the hometown of the philosopher Confucius, and moved to the UK at the age of 19 to pursue higher education. This early relocation allowed her to immerse herself in diverse cultural settings.[1]

Zhou holds three degrees from UK institutions, including one from Imperial College London. She also completed a diploma course in international etiquette and protocol at the prestigious Institut Villa Pierrefeu, also known as The Swiss Finishing School in Gilon, Switzerland.[1]

Career

Her early career in finance spanned over a decade, during which she worked across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, gaining insights into diverse cultural norms and business practices. This extensive professional background served as a foundation for her transition to etiquette coaching.[2]

In 2023, Zhou established Berkeley Etiquette to provide personalised coaching, corporate workshops and group seminars to enable her clients to achieve their full potential. Her work emphasises dining etiquette, workplace professionalism, and cultural customs.[3]
