The Yarowilca Province is the smallest of eleven provinces of the Huánuco Region in Peru. Its capital is Chavinillo.
Boundaries
[edit]Dos de Mayo Province is north of Yarowilca, Huánuco Province is east, Lauricocha Province lies southward and Dos de Mayo Province to the west.
Geography

Languages
[edit]The Yarowilcan Indigenous peoples of the Americas are mainly Quechua people. The Quechua language was taught to 60.97% of citizens in childhood, as of 2007, and 38.74% learned Spanish.[2]
Archaeology
[edit]Some of the most important archaeological sites of the province are Awkillu Waqra, T'akaq, Wallpayunka, Warahirka, Waruq and Wich'un.
