Bangladesh

[edit]

Can BD for Bangladesh (ISO 3166) be added as a shortcut? Thanks, Edward-Woodrow :) [talk] 14:45, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As this page explains, ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 (three-letter codes) are the standard. Please use BGD for Bangladesh; {{Country data BGD}} already exists to meet this need. – Jonesey95 (talk) 16:59, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, OK. Thanks. Edward-Woodrow :) [talk] 16:59, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion regarding physical and digital flags

Timor-Leste in fs player template

[edit]

I trust there are editors here who understand how flagicons work better than I do. {{fs player}} template breaks when attempting to display the Timorese flag. See Assalam F.C. for instance. I can't figure out what's going on. Could someone who understands this please take a look. Thanks. Sir Sputnik (talk) 20:50, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. – Jonesey95 (talk) 15:02, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Syria

[edit]

Not sure if this is the right place to raise this. I've noticed that Template:SYR still used the old Syrian flag, of the Assad government, instead of the new one adopted in December. This means that for instance all Syrian footballers are listed with the old flag, such as Mahmoud Dahoud at Eintracht Frankfurt. 2001:1C00:1818:E800:D7D0:38E7:79BB:95FC (talk) 21:23, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

United States Coast Guard

[edit]

The flag displayed using  United States Coast Guard or really any of the US Coast Guard templates displays the wrong image. The current image displayed is the flag of the service, when it should display the ensign, as seen on the linked page. Llammakey (talk) 23:35, 20 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It's how {{Country data United States}} is set out that causes that. {{coast guard|United States|1953}} is what is needed to display  United States Coast Guard. Mjroots (talk) 07:35, 22 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
