This course is an introduction to the history of Islamic Architecture. Students will: learn about how to recognize, identify and analyze the built environment; study the geography, history and culture of the Islamic world; and gain in-depth knowledge of 10 Islamic architectural monuments. In lieu of a final project, students will contribute content to wikipedia pages on Islamic architecture.
