@Jo-Jo Eumerus, I searched the index of the book and the word "Eldgjá" is mentioned only on page 2 of the Introduction. You should be able to preview that page on Google Books at this link: [1], though it does not have page numbers. Matarisvan (talk) 11:56, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

For Margaret Sanger

Hi, it would be great if I could read the content of the above three articles. I looked in the free WP Library access, but that appears to only have "historical" NY Times articles. Thanks, Noleander (talk) 01:43, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Doing... taking screenshots thru university access. (1) is accessible in Internet Archive, which I suggest that you check for the other articles. @Noleander RFNirmala (talk) 04:55, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for link to (1). I found (3) in the same location. I could still use help with (2).
I'm surprised to see NY Times recent articles in the Wayback machine: i thought there was a huge legal decision about a year ago, that held that Wayback could not store copyrighted material. Maybe NY Times doesn't care so much about opinion pieces, so they are not challenging those? Noleander (talk) 05:46, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Noleander: All three articles are available at ProQuest in TWL here, here and here. If you can't access them, I can send them to you. —Bruce1eetalk 06:55, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Wildlife Australia magazine (vol. 54) & The Australian article from July 2022

[edit]

Primarily for John Young (naturalist), but I should also be able to use these in night parrot and buff-breasted buttonquail. Have been trying to track down a freely accessible copy of the first article online but had no luck, and it doesn't appear to be available through any of the providers at TWL. I apologise for the extremely bare references for the other articles - The Australian's paywall won't even allow me to see the name of the author, so I can only provide very limited details.

@Ethmostigmus: Yes Sent #1. #2 seems to be available through TWL via ProQuest, albeit under a different tite: QUAIL’S FLIGHT OF FANCY. Also, you can apparently get around those sorts of paywalls through Google Rich Results (credit to Szmenderowiecki) as long as you have the original link. I know that there is the full Arabic version, and there's an archived full version of the French article and that there was a previous Rx for this article that says the same thing, but I'd really rather it be in English, both for my sake, and for the sake of the English-speaking readers who may want to research this topic.

Long shot?: Thought currents in English literature article

[edit]
  • 向山 泰子 [Yasuko Mukoyama] (February 1962). "Cather's Love of Area [Cather's Love of Place]". 英文学思潮 [Thought currents in English literature]. 35. Aoyama Gakuin University: 71–82. ISSN 0910-500X.

This gives the 1962 date, although this English language bibliography (p 141) gives 1963. My library's metadata suggests 1962. The true title is not known; the English bibliography and WebOPAC give different ones.

Relevant WorldCat entries may include 21432288 and 1058811681.

I've sent in an ILL request to my library but I'm not sure whether they'll be able to fulfill this. Given what I know about Yasuko Mukoyama, the article will probably be useful in an article like My Ántonia or a similar novel article.

I'm looking for Record Report album review sections from two The Source issues from 1999. Unfortunately, the magazine isn't available online, but some libraries have it. Most of these pages were ads, so it's about 10-12 pages of actual text each. The June 1999 issue would help me improve The Art of Storytelling, Chopper City in the Ghetto, and Pimpin' on Wax, while the August issue would help with Out of Business, Exclusive Audio Footage, Soundpieces: Da Antidote, The Wonderful World of Cease A Leo, and The M-Pire Shrikez Back. I'm working on an article on a tornado in Little Rock, and am currently attempting to explain the one indirect death. The only free source I can find mentions the death as being from a heart attack but does not tie it to the tornado itself. I found this Arkansas Democrat-Gazette article that may explain the situation surrounding their death but I cannot access as it is paywalled. The article is Draft:2023 Little Rock tornado - anyone with access to the source, I would greatly appreciate your help here. Cheers! Departure– (talk) 15:37, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Departure–, you should be able to access the article plaintext via Google rich results: here. Szmenderowiecki (talk) 13:41, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Departure–: Does this satisfy your request, are you ready to mark this section {{resolved}}? --Worldbruce (talk) 06:58, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
What I was looking for wasn't in the article, but I was able to at least check. Feel free to close. Departure– (talk) 15:44, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'm seeking the pages about Ellen Eliza Fitz.

Many thanks, Blackballnz (talk) 05:25, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Blackballnz Yes Sent Should be in your e-mail. Only around 3 pages, since the table of contents notes Fitz is pp.67-71.
From this site, which somehow gave me full access to the PDF without making me do anything. RFNirmala (talk) 14:26, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

TheAstorPastor: I'm about to turn in for the night, but:
  1. I can retrieve up to 50 pages from Mount and Davie. Email me and I'll send you the table of contents (PDF).
  2. I can access a physical copy of Strauss, for use in the library only, but am unlikely to get there before Monday. Do you know what you're looking for in that book?
