Propose merging Template:Infobox soap opera family with Template:Infobox fictional family, because both are infoboxes for a fictional family and per WP:INFOCOL. TheTVExpert (talk) 15:02, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- Comment: the soap opera template has a sub-template, {{Infobox soap opera family/member}}. You can see how that works in Ferreira family. That sub-template is used where individual characters no not have their own articles or list entries and therefore do not have their own infobox, so it gives additional information specific to individual members of the family. I wouldn't be opposed to a merge if that could be merged as well as any other extra fields. — 🌼📽️AnemoneProjectors💬 16:02, 5 June 2020 (UTC)

- OK with a Merge, though I should note that {{Infobox soap opera family}} has 40 transclusions from actual articles whereas {{Infobox fictional family}} has only 9. Parameters like
|portrayer=,|spinoffs=, and the functionality of {{Infobox soap opera family/member}} need to be integrated into the consolidated template. It may be easier to rename {{Infobox soap opera family}} as {{Infobox fictional family}} and add the|first_major=and|first_minor=functionality as alternates to|first=(though I was a little confused by those parameter names until I realized they were for series/episode etc.)— TAnthonyTalk 17:16, 5 June 2020 (UTC) - Support per INFOCOL.
