American Idol Season 3 - Hawaii

[edit]

I absolutely loved this one Hawaiian girl from American Idol Season 3. She did not make it through the Hawaiian auditions, but she probably should have. She was a bit overweight and played the ukelele as she sang. She was brought back for a special show during the semifinals along with several others that did not make it to Hollywood. I was wondering what her name was, and contact details if possible, as I'm thinking about asking her to do a song for an independent film I am involved in.

And while on the subject of American Idol, can I find American Idol seasons on DVD anywhere, or does Fox not officially make DVD collections of AI?

I'm not sure about your first question. Try poking around American Idol (season 3), but you may have to search elsewhere...coverage for that season looks spotty here.
Re the second, they don't put out full box sets, and probably never will (if copyright clearance has held up Boston Public for this long...). But they have released a few Best of/Worst of DVDs—see Amazon here. --zenohockey 05:54, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

John Wayne

[edit]

My memory may be playing a trick on me but I distinctly remember seeing a movie in which John Wayne played a Sea Captain in the South Seas in the late 19th century becomes an heir to a Boston Forturne. A condition of the fortune being dispersed to the Sea Captain is that a unimpeachable source, after investigation, certifies to the trustees of the fortune that the Sea Caption is in full conformity with proper Boston Morality. The delegate despatched by the trustees to conduct the investigation is a young, single, very proper but very beautiful woman.

I have been unable to find any record of such a movie, and that is driving me nuts.

Can any of you help me by telling me the name? Even if it is ot a John Wayne movie, can you tell me who the male character was played by, and the name of the movie.

Thanks for your help!

You're thinking of Donovan's Reef, but a lot of the details are incorrect. The film takes place after World War II. Wayne plays a former US navy man, but not a captain. The heir to the fortune (actually controlling shares in a shipping company) is his friend, Doc Dedham (Jack Warden). The proper Boston woman who investigates turns out to be Dedham's daughter. [edit]

I'm looking for a dog movie that I saw in the mid-1990s. He was a brown and black vicious dog named MAX HE cause a lot of trouble. And in one scene he battles a guy in a mechanic shop. At the end of the movie hes electrocuted. But then they show a female dog he was with having puppies and one of them looks like him. Thanks guys. --Gary123 Apply now, exciting opportunities available at Continental Op Detective Agency! 19:54, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
