Lumines Game Save

[edit]

Hi. I've got a copy of Lumines on PSP and I am having trouble saving my game progress. At the end of each game in Challenge Mode it comes up with a screen which says 'Load Save Data? x=yes triangle=no' and no matter which button I press it loses my progress and high score. Has anyone else had this problem and is there any way to get around it or something? I've had the game for about a fortnight and it's only been doing this in the past few days. Mix Lord 03:56, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's stopped doing it now. Might have been something to do with the WLAN switch or something Mix Lord 04:54, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

arctic monkeys

[edit]

hi people i was just wondering if any one can tell me when a new arctic monkeys album is due to come out in australia? and what it will be called? Mix Lord 04:08, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unless you are referring to their EP Who the Fuck Are Arctic Monkeys?, their next album is yet unnamed and apparently due in late Spring 2007 (in the northern hemisphere) according to their drummer. One might expect a global release not too long after that. Rockpocket 05:05, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Are you implying that the album will be coming out at some other time in the Southern Hemipshere, or that it will be coming out in the late fall in the Southern Hemisphere? User:Zoe|(talk) 18:30, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That was ambiguous, sorry. The implication was your latter suggestion: that it would probably be released worldwide soon after Spring in the UK, Autumn in Australia (which would be March/April/May). Rockpocket 20:36, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You can always order it online at amazon.com or somesuch online place once released. They'll ship it to you even if it wasn't released in your country yet. I've gotten stuff from France months before it was released in the states. --Cody.Pope 02:31, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You can actually order from amazon before release if they have it on their lists. The upcoming Harry Potter book, which doesn't even have a release date yet, is the #1 best seller on amazon right now. User:Zoe|(talk) 17:34, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

San Andreas Stories?

[edit]

hi peoples i was wondering if there is going to be a grand theft auto san andreas stories?(because there was a libety city stories and a vice city stories) and if so will it be on psp?Sir Sagman 04:16, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is plenty of online speculation (e.g. [1] [2] [3]) but nothing from Rockstar Games or an alternative a credible source. Rockpocket 04:57, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blacksad

[edit]

I've been researching a graphic novel series called Blacksad. It looks pretty interesting, but I was wondering if it had a lot of adult situations, eg. erotics. I don't mind violence or drugs, all the kids in my household can handle that. But highly erotic nature... To put it simply: would it be appropriate for teenagers who see plenty of movies like James Bond or Schindlers List and play plenty of violent videogames like Conker's Bad Fur Day or Doom? Not that I plan on lending it out to little kids, I just don't want to bring something highly innapropriate into my family's house (and my family is very open minded). BeefJeaunt 05:23, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Our Wikipedia article on Blacksad gives detailed plot, and if you don't have a problem with spoilers, you could read that article and see for yourself what its content is like. Looking at Amazon's review of volume one, the book is described as being "...crammed with sex and violent gunplay..." (Recommend reading the whole review). These were dug up using a Google search. V-Man737 06:32, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have trouble seeing how many American thinks sexuality is much more inappropriate than violence, but European adventure comics seldom feature more than nudity, anyway. 惑乱 分からん 14:50, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm probably going to get flamed for this. But haven't you ever noticed how Americans have no problems killing and blowing people up all the time. I mean look at the president. But sex outside of marriage? No that's evil, bad, sinful and you'll get pregnant, HIV or some other STD and go to hell. Homosexual sex? OMFG that's the worst thing ever... Nil Einne 15:38, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've struck out my comment above. Although I noted from the started it may be a bit inappropriate, for whatever reason people seem to have completely missed the point. I was offering a reasoned view as to something Wakuran said. I thought I made this clear. Although perhaps a bit inappropriate for here, and obviously off topic, I thought it was clear who and what I was responding to. But since it doesn't appear to be, and to avoid further strife, I've decided to remove the comment Nil Einne 16:22, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm... Seems I've gone and made an ass of myself, though I don't ever remember saying I had anything against homosexuality or sex outside of marriage. Sorry. I didn't mean to offend anyone with this question. All I really wanted to know was wether or not the the comic was some sort of funny animal pornography. I don't mind nudity or sexuality, I just don't want something that's purely erotic. Also, I dislike entertainment crammed with senseless voilence and drug use (excluding Conker's Bad Fur Day, that whole game was a joke, and it even had a moralistic ending). Again, I'm apologize if I offended anyone, and I agree; Americans are overly concerned with sexuality (though their films are crammed with it). Oh, and why has almost everyone assumed I'm American (if by that you from the United States)? BeefJeaunt 18:38, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, BeefJeaunt, your question was appropriate and in no way offensive. The reference desk is not the place to express moral judgments of others, and certainly not make unfair inferences from your question (i.e regarding homosexuality). Your tolerance for sexual or violent material is entirely your own business. Rockpocket 20:44, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, well... Blacksad doesn't seem to be "yiff" anyway, if that was what you were wondering about... 惑乱 分からん 23:28, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I expected to be flamed, but don't get the responsed to what I said. I thought I made it clear I was referring to Americans in general. I don't really care if BeefJeaunt is an American or not. My point was that what 惑乱 分からん said is not surprising when you look at the way IMHO Americans are. Whether or not BeefJeaunt is an American and whatever BeefJeaunt's views are on homosexuality is irrelevant since I was replying to 惑乱 分からん not BeefJeaunt, hence the reason my response was next in line. Nil Einne 13:33, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the response was because this is a referenced desk for Wikipedians to help (if they are so minded) with enquiries. It's not the place for you to air your issues and grievances with a nation - Wikipedia is not a soapbox. Proto:: 12:35, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I know what this page is. But even if what I said was somewhat inappropriate, the simple fact is I was responding to a specific comment someone made. Although I expected to be flamed, and as I stated it was probably a bit inappropriate, the fact remains, I was responding to a specific comment that was made and was not singling anyone out and not responding Beefjaunt. Or let me put it a different way. I expected to be flamed for what I actually did to rather then for what I didn't do. If people wanted to take issue with what I said or suggest it was inappropriate that's fine. But I don't get why people, including you it seems, are debating what I didn't do. I should add that I feel that my comments although perhaps somewhat inappropriate for here do in fact add to the issue since they provide one view as to why Americans have the behaviour Wakuran described. You may not agree with this view and that's your right, and this isn't really the topic to discuss it in depth, or the board but it wasn't a pure soapbox but a reasoned view Nil Einne 16:18, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Anyway I've struck it out to avoid further confusion Nil Einne 16:22, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Album Art

[edit]

I have tried to add album art to a couple albums that have none. Im usure on how to do this maybe I could get some help. If anyone looks up Billy Suier. there are 3 albums I have the art for but can't figure out how to add to the covers. I may have messed up a page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by J54537 (talkcontribs) 23:05, 13 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Have u uploaded the file? if u haven't upload it by clicking the upload file button on the left of ur screen. Also, check the copyright status of the image, put it under album artwork. If u get the copyright status wrong, it could be put up for speedy deletion. If u done all that, when u edit the page, click on the image button next to the black A on top of ur editing pallette. Put the name of ur file down --Kzrulzuall 01:07, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
