Downloading full document from Hathi Trust?

[edit]

I would like to download the entire PDF of The salt administration of Ssŭchʻuan. By Arthur von Rosthorn from Hathi Trust found here but I'm not a member of an institution. This appears to be a public domain document so I would like this to be available on the commons. Would anyone mind helping with such a download?

Thanks, WhisperToMe (talk) 06:36, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure I am comfortable with the Reference Desk being used to circumvent Terms of Service for Hathi. Have you tried finding it on Google Books as recommended? Elizium23 (talk) 06:42, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Frankly since the book is only 38 pages and you're only doing this once, it seems likely it'll be easier to just download each page and then make these into one PDF. But you could try Wikipedia:WikiProject Resource Exchange/Resource Request to see if anyone who's part of a partner institution can help. Per Elizium23's point, do make sure you let them know of what you plan to do. Nil Einne (talk) 13:00, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@WhisperToMe: Hathi Trust will no even load for me at the moment, but I have downloaded a pdf from Google Books. If you email me via Wikipedia I can attach it to my reply. The Resource Exchange is a good place to ask for similar help in the future. DuncanHill (talk) 13:20, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Lots of those Hathi Trust docs are also on archive.org so that's always a good place to check. 2602:24A:DE47:BB20:50DE:F402:42A6:A17D (talk) 05:13, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
