The trust has thousands of images in its digital catalogue. Many of these have no commercial value and could easily be given CC-BY-SA licences. This large collection may require a mass upload and careful thought about metadata. Alternatively, once the catalogue is online, the URL2Commons tool may be used.

General images
The trust has many images of star artefacts such as the Coppergate Helmet. It should be possible to identify certain key images for upload to Commons. There are also many images taken during events or other activities which may be useful.

The Middleham Hoard is one of the many fascinating but unseen treasures of YMT's numismatic's collection. We hope to give it an article and have kicked off by uploading images of the 54 coins in the collection and some group shots. We hope to work on the article through AFC. Some of the coin highlights are below.
The enormous collection of Studio pottery collected by Ismay and now held by YMT was subject to a Google Cultural Institute project for which brand new high-quality photographs were taken. Subsequently, I was able to upload these images to Commons: W.A. Ismay Studio Ceramic Collection. These have now been used on the biographical articles for some of the potters, Ismay's article and the main Studio pottery article. The Ismay article was created from scratch by Theroadislong.

Sydney Harold Smith photographed diverse subjects in early 20th-century Yorkshire. This collection is dominated by his images of Yorkshire's last wildfowler' Snowden Slights. These images have great potential for historic Yorkshire articles.
