- A little small and grainy for my taste. I can't help but feel a better scan may be possible. Clicking on the source link gives a security warning. Adam Cuerden (talk)Has about 8.8% of all FPs. 19:08, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
- Comment While staging combat photos was fairly common for all countries of World War II (for obvious reasons given how dangerous the fighting was and the camera technology of the time), the Soviets were particularly notorious for this. What sources confirm that this is actually a photo taken during the Battle of Kursk? Some of the details seem a bit unusual for an actual combat image - for instance, the tanks and soldiers are closely grouped when most armies emphasised that they should spread out so that they wouldn't all become casualties if they were shelled by artillery.
