Wikipedia:Featured and good topic candidates/Almirante Latorre-class battleships/archive1
The Almirante Latorre-class battleships were ordered as part of a larger South American dreadnought race. Unfortunately for the Chileans, construction only began in Britain a year before WWI, so the British paid for and seized the Chilean ships for their war effort. Latorre was completed and served as HMS Canada, seeing action in the Battle of Jutland; it was sold to Chile after the war in 1920, and the ship served into the 1950s. Cochrane, which was much less complete than Latorre when taken over by the British, was converted into an aircraft carrier and served with the Royal Navy until being sunk in WWII.

Clearly in-scope for a featured topic. The second article uses the original Chilean name for the ship because this is a topic about the Chilean battleship class.
