The Wey VV5 is a Chinese subcompact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by Great Wall Motors under the Wey luxury car brand.

Overview

The VV5, formerly known as the 02 during development phase shares the same vehicle platform as the Wey VV7 and the second generation Haval H6.[1]

The Wey VV5 is powered by a 1.5 liter inline-4 turbo engine producing 171hp or a 2.0 liter inline-4 turbo engine producing 227hp, with both engine options mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.[2]

China

Local production for China started in July 2017.[3] The VV5 is powered by a 2.0 turbo with 197hp and 355Nm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed DCT gearbox, sending power to all four wheels.

Safety

In the Active and Passive safety configuration, it is equipped with ACC (adaptive cruise control) with queuing function, 360° full-image intelligent parking system with MOD[disambiguation needed] (lateral movement monitoring function), MEB[disambiguation needed] (low-speed emergency braking), AEB (automatic emergency braking), and FCW (forward collision warning) system.[4]
