WWE Evolve is an upcoming American professional wrestling streaming television show produced by the American company WWE. It will serve as a spiritual successor to the Evolve professional wrestling promotion, which ran from 2010 to 2020. The program will be ran by Gabe Sapolsky, the owner of the original EVOLVE and will have their first tapings on February 7, 2025, which will be held at the WWE Performance Center. The series will premiere on Tubi on March 5, 2025.
History
[edit]In 2009, Gabe Sapolsky announced the creation of a new professional wrestling promotion called EVOLVE, which officially began producing shows in January 2010.[1] Over the years, EVOLVE would first unify with Dragon Gate USA, form a partnership with WWE, and have many wrestlers pass through the promotion, such as Cody Rhodes, Johnny Gargano, and Drew McIntyre. In 2019, EVOLVE would have their first show on the WWE Network and then as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE purchased EVOLVE on July 2, 2020.[2]
Sapolsky was released but then rehired by WWE in 2022, with rumors that WWE were planning to revive Evolve, which had been in the works for years and would be headed by Sapolsky. [3] On January 30, 2025, WWE filed a trademark for "EVOLVE" in the aspect of entertainment services in the specifics of a wrestling show.[4] It was then officially revealed that Evolve would be coming back with its first tapings on February 7 at the WWE Performance Center.[5] During the Royal Rumble on February 1, 2025, WWE announced that a new in-ring series titled Evolve would premiere on Tubi on March 5, 2025.[6]
