Venkatapuram is one of the beautiful villages and smallest villages of Odisha. It is located in Gajapathi district of Odisha, Kashinagar block

Siva ratri was biggest festival of village, there is one temple on the hills of village (Uma maheswara swamy temple) was celebrated every year with huge lightening and decorations with few dramas.
People were very friendly and helpful. Many of the villagers migrated to Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Balada, Pathapatnam as there is no transport facility in the village.
Years 1970 to 2007 called as Golden era of the village. People depends on farming. Cultivates mainly rice, Sunflower, ground nuts. Children and youth mainly plays cricket and volleyball. Every year in the month of January people come from different locations and get together to celebrate Sankranti festival.
