Hi, Zombiebaron, Welcome to Wikipedia!
Hello, bonjour, salut, privyet, konichiwa, shalom, hola, salve, sala'am, bonjourno, and hi! I'm Sputnik. I noticed that you were new and/or have yet to receive any messages so I just thought I'd pop in to say "hello". We're glad to have you in our community! I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it's so big but we won't bite so Be Bold and get what you know down in microchips! If you do make a mistake, that's fine, we'll assume good faith and just correct you: it'll take a few seconds maximum! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful. If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you. Here are a few links to get you started:
And remember:
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.
  • P.S. I'm happy to help new users. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you need help with anything or simply wish to say hello. :)

Happy Wiki-ing!

Zombiebaron waves, with no real intention of racking up nearly as many edits as СПУТНИК, now he will continue to shamlessly plug Uncyclopedia.

...is not a listing of every Wiki, nor indeed any Wiki, that the English Wikipedia is not. We don't need links to anywhere, least of all Uncyclopedia. Thanks. -Splashtalk 03:32, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Be aware that you are nearly in violation of our three-revert rule on WP:NOT. Please limit yourself to at most three reverts per article per 24-hour period - ideally any controversial changes should be discussed on the Talk page first. Thanks for your cooperation. Fair use rationale for Image:JackieCaswellLaylaRobertsJenniferRoveroAndBrookeBerry.jpg

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:JackieCaswellLaylaRobertsJenniferRoveroAndBrookeBerry.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Konst.able 23:38, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with Image:Barney'sVersionCover.jpg

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Barney'sVersionCover.jpg. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:04, 12 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hello Zombiebaron. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to Uncyclopedia, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Zombiebaron. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Zombiebaron|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. BFDIBebble (talk) 18:08, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Uncyclopedia is a non-profit volunteer organization, nobody involved with the project gets paid for any aspect of their contributions to it. Thanks for this lovely message though and if you have any further questions about Uncyclopedia I would be happy to answer them! -- Zombiebaron (shout) 18:19, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Zombiebaron

[edit]

I have collected the infinity stones and placed them into my gauntlet. I will snap out any COI or vandalism revisions to Uncyclopedia that I see. Your fork is not noteworthy nor are your mirrors. You need to leave Wikipedia now, and go one step further and close your fork in order to stop jeopardizing the main website's search engine results, and stop trying to push your agenda otherwise you may be blocked by an administrator.

This is your only notice. BFDIBebble (talk) 18:38, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop threatening me. -- Zombiebaron (shout) 18:40, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Zombiebaron. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Uncyclopedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Q7887712 (talk) 13:16, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
