As reviewing administrator, I have declined the speedy deletion nomination, but I have added both to that article and to Bidhu Bhusan Das a "BLP PROD" template, formal notices below.
The Wikipedia:Verifiability policy requires that: "any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source." For biographies of living persons, this is so important that they are automatically deleted if, after a week, they do not have at least one reference that directly confirms a statement in the article. A link like University of Allahabad which does not mention her is no use for this purpose.
Once an article has at least one reference, the BLP-prod tag may be removed; but under the verifiability policy, unreferenced claims may be removed, so it is desirable to provide references for as much of the material in the article as possible. There is advice at Help:Referencing for beginners. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 12:55, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
The article Prabhat Nalini Das has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:
- All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. JohnCD (talk) 12:55, 8 August 2014 (UTC)

Reply to your messages on my talk page
[edit]If you wish to request deletion of your two pages, you can do that by adding {{db-author}}
to the top; but I urge you not to do that. Both of these persons are clearly notable in Wikipedia's sense, and should have articles. These pages should be improved and referenced, not deleted.
The speedy deletion nomination was undoubtedly a mistake, for which I apologise, by an over-enthusiastic member of the "New Page Patrol" - a volunteer, like me, and like everyone at Wikipedia. However, a page can only be actually deleted by an administrator, and in that role I declined the speedy deletion nomination, told you so, and gave an explanation and advice to the patroller, so that he can do better in future.
However, the Wikipedia:Verifiability principle is absolutely fundamental to having a reliable encyclopedia, rather than a collection of opinions and assertions. The BLP-prod notices on the articles do not say that they should be deleted, only that they need at least one reliable source to confirm what they say. The notices can be removed, by anyone, as soon as a source has been added. The articles will be deleted only if, at the end of seven days, no-one has provided such a source. Even then, they will be restored on request from anyone able to source them.
While the primary onus is on you as the contributor to provide sources, the week's grace also provides an opportunity for others to look at the articles and help if they can. WP:WikiProject India is a group of users interested in improving Wikipedia's coverage of India. I will post a message on their talk page which may bring others to help improve and reference the articles. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 16:46, 8 August 2014 (UTC) Thank you so very much. I was a little discombobulated trying to fix it.Zachary5050 (talk) 17:48, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Bidhu Bhusan Das may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Draft:Prabhat Nalini Das concern
[edit]Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Prabhat Nalini Das, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.
If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.
Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:33, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:Prabhat Nalini Das
[edit]Hello Zachary5050. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Prabhat Nalini Das".
The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply {{db-afc}}
or {{db-g13}}
code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Prabhat Nalini Das}}
, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 12:19, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
