Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please make sure to include an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Hello and thank you for your contributions. I see that you continue to edit without using an edit summary. Please use an edit summary to help other editors know what you are doing. If you don't use one, large numbers of edits tend to look suspicious and other editors need to waste time checking your edits. Thanks. Explaining

[edit]

I patrolled your page. I went through the enormously-backlogged list of newly-created pages and confirmed that your page was okay: not spam, not an attack page, not a copyright violation, not any of the other reasons for which I would delete someone's page without asking. Then I clicked "patrolled" to remove it from the list of "pages that have not yet been patrolled", and moved on to the next entry. That's all. DS (talk) 18:35, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited House (season 2), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Thomas Dekker (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Lisa Loveday requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

reverting edits

[edit]

I have no idea why you feel the need to revert works in progress. You don't even give people a chance to work on articles. People like you put others off editing on Wikipedia. 82.132.223.249 (talk) 12:10, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A cut and paste job does not indicate a work in progress, it indicates laziness. Yoshi876 (talk) 12:18, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I was working online to get other information and refs and then all of a sudden its reverted by you. You're extremely off-putting to other wikipedians. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.132.246.139 (talk) 16:22, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Then get a workpage. That way you can get all the information there, before putting it into mainspace. Yoshi876 (talk) 17:17, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Every edit you revert is on a character who on your homepage you've admitted you want to make a page for. So it is my opinion you revert because you aren't happy because other people try to contribute.82.132.247.165 (talk) 19:21, 8 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Not really, someone did a Patrick Blake article, and I fixed it up because there was stuff worth saving. The other ones that are created don't as all that's been put in is a storyline section. Yoshi876 (talk) 08:42, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Freddie

[edit]

I had worked most the day on the Freddie article. I did state on the edit note that I was going to keep working on the article and when I go back you've reverted my edit. I also notice you always seem to revert any edits with work put into it. Can you please explain what is wrong with my work?Doomsdayman (talk) 20:41, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You haven't added anything of note to it. All you did was a beefy storyline section, which is not what a Wikipedia article wants. Your character development section was poor, the white water stunt did nothing to develop the character, something like his relationship with Lindsey did. You also need lots of references. Martha Kane or Patrick Blake (Hollyoaks) would be some good examples as to what you should be aiming for. Yoshi876 (talk) 18:14, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

New redirects category

[edit]

Hi. I've just created Category:Hollyoaks character redirects to lists. It's for all the character redirects to be gathered in one place. So, in future you just need to add {{R from fictional character|Hollyoaks}} instead of the DEFAULTSORT and the Hollyoaks characters category. I hope that makes sense. :) – JuneGloom07 Talk 01:11, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Crediting

[edit]

You make it impossible to work with. If you see with other soaps how they deal with returning characters as guests they do NOT DOWNGRADE THEM. See for example Hilary Robinson, Peggy Mitchell, Libby Fox etc. Wikipedia does not downgrade. Even User:JuneGloom07 has said it in their contribs. So it is best to keep Silas as a main cast member. Don't be a hive minded sheep. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.239.82.133 (talk) 09:45, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sally St. Claire

[edit]

Please do not revert the changes made to the Sally St.Claire article. It has been made into a full article, rather than a redirect and a messy section in a larger list of characters. It also adds further information and will continue to do so. The reason of "cut and paste" is erroneous and is, anyway, a part of moving to a full article, rather then a section in a list. I repeat. Please do not revert this again. I shall be keeping an eye on this and will continue to add to the article. EmmaPeelsKitten (talk) 05:29, 25 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

MP death articles

[edit]

Hi there, thanks for your message. I don't mind at all, that's pretty awesome. I've not seen anyone say that the lists were unimportant, so I think it's probably changed. It would be cool if you added all the other lists so there can be a completed series. It would be good if the lists all had their own navigational box too. If the 2000s and 2010s lists exist alone it would only make sense that other decades would too. I can help where I can. Thanks again. MoonlightTulsi (talk) 14:25, 8 June 2020 (GMT)

Edit summaries

[edit]

HI. I was a bit concerned to notice orders being handed out in a recent edit summary of yours - namely, in this edit. There is absolutely no requirement for a contributor to formulate a complete and fully laden entry at first go. Other editors, such as yourself and myself, are here to do just that - to add to the sum total of knowledge being passed on, either in stages or in one edit. Nothing's compulsory as far as that is concerned. Care needs to be taken regarding what is said and how it's said when it comes to edit summaries, to maintain civility and good faith. Ref (chew)(do) 23:18, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In answer to your reply at my talk page: No problem. It would have be remiss of me to be uncivil and assume bad faith when bringing this up with you. There is one particular sports-based editor who regularly puts in entries of just name, age, Olympian and bare source URL, leaving the rest of us (usually me) to fill it out into a fully formatted entry. Although he drives us mad, it is what it is and he is no doubt extremely busy in other ways and doesn't have the time to put in more than the bare essentials. Happy editing. "Pipe Links"? I've seen it done many times. AMCKen (talk) 01:09, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It depends on what's being piped, like TV shows and stuff sure. But the page allows for redirects and red links, so those shouldn't be piped. Yoshi876 (talk) 17:24, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Gyula Szersén

[edit]

Hello! Gyula Szersén was also the voice actor, not just actor. I've heard his voice in some television documents, like National Geographic Chanel, and the other television chanels. In the Internet Szinkron Adatbázis (ISZDB), he is voiced some male actors, and voiced some fictional characters in some cartoons, animal, and the other fictional male characters. So, he was the actor, and the voice actor, like Gábor Vass, and the other hungarian actors and voice actors. Have nice day! --TomFZ67 (talk) 11:18, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Passed away"

[edit]

Hi @Yoshi876:, thanks for updating the Arnold Jeter page with his death information. Just a heads up – we never use the phrase "passed away" on Wikipedia as per the Wikipedia:Euphemism policy. People don't in reality "pass away", "slip away", "kick the bucket" or "buy the farm", they die. Wiki is an encyclopaedia, and not a memorial, so the language must remain neutral, even when dealing with difficult topics like death. Thanks --Jkaharper (talk) 21:42, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for your diligence in spotting this idiot moving stuff alphabetically all the time. "No pipes"

[edit]

Hi @Yoshi876:, can you please point me to the policy that states no pipes should ever be used on the recent deaths page? When Don Everly died last year, we piped it to The Everly Brothers because he doesn't have a standalone article and doesn't need one. Billy Watson is unlikely to receive his own article but is suitably covered in the Watson family article. In my opinion, it's common sense that we direct his listing to that page. Thanks --Jkaharper (talk) 14:27, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ignore my comment! I see you've created a redirect from Billy Watson (actor). I should have actually looked at the page rather than just the diffs in the edit history. Sorry! --Jkaharper (talk) 14:39, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please use edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! -- mikeblas (talk) 02:54, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
