Mangla Rai

Dear Wiae, You have just marked my article under criterion RD1 (Blatant copyright violations). However there is hardly any paragraphs which indicate plagiarism. Therefore I request admin to review the article without any prejudice and remove the TAG. Regards, Yavarai (talk) 17:53, 10 October 2016 (UTC)Yavarai[reply]

@Yavarai: Several paragraphs in the article were directly copied from http://publishing.cdlib.org/ucpressebooks/view?docId=ft6n39p104&chunk.id=0&doc.view=print. Copying content from other websites is almost always contrary to Wikipedia's copyright policy, a link to which you will find below.
An administrator will hide the offending revisions and then remove the tag once they have finished doing so. Thanks, /wiae /tlk 19:02, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@CommonsDelinker you have removed/deleted "Mangla_Rai4.jpg" from the article for the reason not appropriate. You have doubt that that mentioned photograph has copyright issue, however for you kind information I would like to say that the mentioned photograph has no issue at all. It's from my own collection. Thanks and Regards, ````Yavarai

@Zackmann08 Thanks for your suggestions and guidance. I shall certainly follow it. Thanks and Regards, ````Yavarai

Control copyright icon Hello Yavarai, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Mangla Rai has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. /wiae /tlk 16:47, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Hari Narayan Singh. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Namvar Singh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Ways to improve Namvar Singh

[edit]

Hi, I'm Zakhx150. Yavarai, thanks for creating Namvar Singh!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. After surviving the AfD earlier you have clearly expanded this nicely. However, it is not entirely neutral. Please avoid using peacock phrases like "important books", "eminent progressive"

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Dear Zakhx150, I have edited the article once again as per your suggestions. I thing there is no subjective sentence in the mentioned article now. Regards--Yavarai (talk) 18:03, 28 May 2017 (UTC)Yavarai[reply]

WikiProject Banners

[edit]

Hey Yavarai, Just an FYI, but when you create new articles, try to remember to add related WikiProject banners to the talk page. This lets other interested editors find new articles and help improve them. Related WikiProjects can usually be fairly easily found by looking at the talk pages of closely related articles. TimothyJosephWood 16:23, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Timothyjosephwood:, Thanks for your prompt review of my newly created article. I generally do add WikiProject banners in articles, however I just got some technical fault in my system and required edit was delayed. I respect your suggestions. Regards--Yavarai (talk) 16:36, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Yavarai[reply]

The article Shrivardhan Trivedi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Sources are not reliable all passing mentions of the subject in question, He is only known for the program he anchors and all the coverage relates to the show, this does not pass WP:CREATIVE or WP:JOURNALIST there is also WP:OVERKILL.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  FITINDIA  09:15, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Fitindia: I have said it on your talk page whatever I have to say in this regard. I just simply made a page about a person whom I still find notable. I have cited all the required sources. Nomination of Shrivardhan Trivedi for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Shrivardhan Trivedi is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shrivardhan Trivedi until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.  FITINDIA  13:15, 14 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have added some more information as source to prove the notability of Shrivardhan Trivedi as news presenter, cine artist, social worker and producer of a film. I have cited letters from Amir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani. These letters are testimonials of social work being done by Shrivardhan Trivedi through an organisation Literacy India. It is the achievement of a trainer like Shrivardhan who motivates and trains underprivileged kids like 'Rahul' to get an opportunity to work in film 3 Idiots. He is not only a news presenter of 'Sansani' only as you have mentioned. Rather he is a cine artist and trainer also. He has played a major role in film 'Lakshya' also. It is the popularity of Shrivardhan that he has got imitated by comedians like 'Kapil Sharma' and 'Krishna-Sudesh'. He is also working as Film Producer and recently produced a Bhojpuri film Dekh Ke. I think these references or quite-enough to prove the notability of Shivardhan trivedi.--Yavarai (talk) 17:45, 14 June 2017 (UTC)Yavarai[reply]
@Fitindia: In keeping with mentioned facts please consider withdrawing the nomination for deletion of Shrivardhan Trivedi and removing the AfD tag from Shrivardhan Trivedi.--Yavarai (talk) 16:38, 14 June 2017 (UTC)Yavarai[reply]
@Yavarai: Its up for discussion and if other editors feel it should be kept it will be kept.I see you have added new sources but it will be a bit premature for me to withdraw my nomination at this point. FITINDIA  18:14, 14 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Praveen Tiwari has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The subject fails WP:JOURNALIST and WP:BIO all coverage is of TV channels he has worked for no secondary sources nothing to prove his notability in journalism or as an author All the awards received mentioned on the page are not notable. The page it self has a WP:OVERKILL with all passing mentions of the subject in question. Please consider these issues before removing the PROD tag.

FITINDIA  06:14, 18 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Fitindia:In my opinion subject of the article Praveen Tiwari fulfills the criteria of notability. However if you feel that it fails to do so I won't contest the deletion of this article.--Yavarai (talk) 15:01, 23 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
