Hello, and welcome etc

[edit]

Hi Wz, I encountered your request for the insertion of material on Crucian carp. In complying I inserted some refs and got involved in the subject matter (which as you will realise is intrinsically very interesting) and did some editing and expansion. I did note in the edit description that you were the source, but also added a few subsequent edits, so that I am afraid that the ascription is now a couple of steps down in the history column. I added the material in a section that I called Physiology, instead of Anoxia, because other material might well be added that would be more convenient there than in separate sections. If you feel strongly enough about it, you can of course edit it on due course, or persuade me or someone else to do so.

I have never been much into WP conventions, so I cannot tell you offhand what it takes to become autoconfirmed, but if you are interested you can fossick around in the help pages. If you are an active contributor and have sufficient control of your blood pressure and a sufficiently thick skin to deal with the manifold slings and arrows (I hope you do!) then it doesn't take all that long. Good luck, and feel welcome to rattle my cage if you feel that it might be helpful Cheers, JonRichfield (talk) 16:37, 11 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
