Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. Please remember to observe this important core policy. Thank you. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 23:46, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Andrés Bonifacio

[edit]

This edit made me stop short as I was reviewing watchlisted articles. I have not reverted the edit, but I came close to doing so. The edit appears to stretch reliance on this cited source past the breaking point. Actually, the source cited looks questionable to me WP:RS-wise. May 2011

[edit]

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of previously published material to our articles as you apparently did to Emilio Aguinaldo. Please cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. I have reverted a number of your edits here, commenting in the edit summary, "POV, unsupported".

  • your insertion of the word, "victorious", is unsupported and appears to be a POV characterization of the relevant history.
  • your insertion of "or War of Philippine Independence" might have stood as an alternative appellation, if it had been supported.
  • your insertion of "and and struck the first major blow against [[American_imperialism|US imperialism]" is unsupported and highly POV.
  • your insertion of "and one of the greatest military generals of the Philippines" is unsupported and highly POV.

Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 22:43, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide an edit summary when making changes. Thank you. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 22:13, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to History of Filipino Americans. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 14:46, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to History of Filipino Americans. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 07:02, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Historic Filipinotown, Los Angeles

[edit]

Thanks for all of your work on Historic Filipinotown, Los Angeles. I see one issue with your editing, which you may not be aware of. We are not supposed to include external links in the text. For example, this sentence has two external links:

If the links are important they should be included in an "external links" section at the end, or if they are used as sources they should be placed in footnotes at the end of the sentence. See WP:EL for more info.   Will Beback  talk  03:30, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm disappointed that you have not responded here. If I don't hear from you and if you don't fix the problem yourself I'll have to do it, and I'm too busy to do it as carefully as you probably would.
Another concern is that you are undoing the corrections I've made to the headings.[1] Headings follow "sentence case", meaning that only the first word and subsequent proper nouns are capitalized. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Article titles, headings, and sections.
Please respond to let me know that you've read and understood my posts here.   Will Beback  talk  23:46, 23 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry but I reverted you inserted of an embedded URL into article text. This is forbidder per WP:WL. Best,

October 2013

[edit]

Hello, I'm EuroCarGT. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Little Manila because it seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thanks. ///EuroCarGT 23:38, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Filipino Recreational Hall, 245 Main St, Little Manila, LA.jpg

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Filipino Recreational Hall, 245 Main St, Little Manila, LA.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you object to the listing for any reason. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 19:36, 17 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:HIFINC Logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:HIFINC Logo.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 22:03, 17 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Parol along Temple St.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Historic Filipinotown, Los Angeles, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Little Tokyo. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
