[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Wikipedia. RfB
[edit]Flattering though your offer is, I must decline. I have no wish (ever) to run for RfB. I may run for Administrator later this year, but intend to do so as a self-nomination. Mayalld (talk) 06:13, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

File:Male human buttocks.jpg
[edit]Hello.
You can't delete File:Male human buttocks.jpg here because that image is stored at Wikipedia Commons, our shared media repository.
Also, please note that Wikipedia is not censored. Seeking deletion simply because you object to the depiction of a human behind will not lead to deletion, and I see no reason why this image could be considered unencyclopaedic or otherwise against Commons policy.

Deletion of Portal:Chess
[edit]Hello Veraladeramanera, could you please explain to me why you have done that ? SyG (talk) 08:38, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, sorry. That was a bit of a mistake. I was looking at the options for WP:CSD Nomination (I've only used it once), and I accidentally clicked a portal option. I'll be happy to delete the deletion page.
- All right, no problem, have a happy editing ! SyG (talk) 10:32, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron!
[edit]Vera I am very excited tha you decided to join our group.
please don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can do to help you, or if you have a question how wikipedia works.
Hi, Veraladeramanera, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles that have been tagged for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you. And once again - Welcome! Ikip (talk) 21:52, 10 May 2009 (UTC) |
Adding level 2 headings to deletion discussions is an interesting idea. However, they were making this discussion look like 3 discussions on the log so I removed them. Also, they can reinforce the belief that AFD is a "vote" (which it's not) so generally it's not a good idea to use them. --Ron Ritzman (talk) 23:30, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
[edit]Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:23, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
