- It's been at House since 2005. You were bold and moved it. An admin moved it back and started a move discussion. You moved war with him. If you can't get these basic facts correct, I suggest you check out WebMD (since you're so fond of those two letters) and see what's wrong with you. Though I doubt being a pathological liar is listed as a condition there. Calidum Talk To Me 06:43, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Moving bangs/fringe again
Hi there. You intervened on the article Bangs (hair) not long ago to revert a move made without consensus. The same person just came in and moved it again, once again without any consensus (and making false claims of "originality", easily disproven by the article's edit history). I think admin assistance is needed to revert that move again -- I attempted to revert using the same technique the other editor used to move it in the first place, but apparently I don't know what I'm doing in that respect and it didn't work -- and the page may need some kind of protection to prevent this from happening again. Can you help? --Pfhorrest (talk) 04:53, 24 July 2014 (UTC)

- I note that you have previously received 2 blocks (2011 and 2012) for personal attacks on other editors. And your name is familiar to me only from having witnessed you exhibiting similar behavior to editors, and then recently once I think being on the receiving end myself. "This is sad" only exhibits that you haven't considered/don't know why editors want these essays userfied, "and you know it" is another personal attack, you're making a personal attack on my integrity - you aren't a mind reader and you don't know what or how I think and you don't get to say so. Please understand this now, and desist from further personalizing comments. Thank you. In ictu oculi (talk) 05:12, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

I request you undo your edit or move the page to Chiropractic degree. See Talk:Chiropractor#The title is ambiguous and incorrect. There were no editors in the move discussion that gave a rationale explanation to oppose the page move. The current title does not represent the article. QuackGuru (talk) 03:53, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

Red Dead
Please stop edit warring, and removing sourced content. Anything I post on the talk page is going to be rather basic WP:V, WP:NPOV, which I have cited and you have ignored. If you a problem with the category per se, you may be interested in this discussion (and again, I'm not reposting all my arguments from there on any article which Hanhchen chooses to revert me): Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2014 October 10#Category:Grand Theft Auto clones. bridies (talk) 02:28, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
- The fact that you accuse me of edit warring is fucking ridiclous, considering you've now reverted three times in 15 minutes. -- Calidum 02:32, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
- Yawn, real classy (be sure to quote that if you actually report me at WP:3RR), and thanks for the template. Read WP:3RR properly, it's not just number of reverts. I have actually provided sources and cited policies and each juncture. You are removing sourced content, and continually citing "per previous [non]reason" when reverting, the very definition of edit warring. Care to actually address any of the arguments I've made, either in the diffs or on the CfD page? bridies (talk) 03:17, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
- Saying something is sourced doesn't give you carte blanche to edit war. This has nothing to do with the CFD discussion, which you would realize if you took two minutes between edits and didn't instinctively revert anything you don't agree with. -- Calidum 04:16, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

Not a sockpuppet
Per WP:VALIDALT:
Alternative accounts have legitimate uses. For example, long-term contributors using their real names may wish to use a pseudonymous account for contributions with which they do not want their real name to be associated, or long-term users might create a new account to experience how the community functions for new users. These accounts are not sockpuppets.
A person editing an article which is highly controversial within his/her family, social or professional circle, and whose Wikipedia identity is known within that circle, or traceable to their real-world identity, may wish to use an alternative account to avoid real-world consequences from their editing or other Wikipedia actions in that area.
Per WP:SOCK#NOTIFY:
Except when doing so would defeat the purpose of having a legitimate alternative account, editors using alternative accounts should provide links between the accounts.
Editors who have multiple accounts for privacy reasons should consider notifying a checkuser or members of the arbitration committee if they believe editing will attract scrutiny.
Check the logs. I notified ArbCom long ago, and was CheckUser'd. I've also been "outed" and subject to attack pages by a group of cyber attackers, so I've been through Oversight too.
Here's the bottom line: I'm not a sockpuppet.
Do you need any further information? Fearofreprisal (talk) 19:57, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
- Per WP:SCRUTINY: "Using alternative accounts that are not fully and openly disclosed to split your editing history means that other editors may not be able to detect patterns in your contributions. While this is permitted in certain circumstances (see legitimate uses), it is a violation of this policy to create alternative accounts to confuse or deceive editors who may have a legitimate interest in reviewing your contributions." -- Calidum 00:17, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- Very true. If I sockpuppeted, or split my editing, I'd get caught. My writing voice is too distinctive to get away with it. And life is too short to spend my time doing that kind of stuff anyway. In any event, I don't use multiple accounts. A couple of years ago, I had a legit ArbCom approved SPA that I used on a few pages to protect myself from a gang of cyber attackers. But, other than that, this has been the only account I've used for probably 6 years. Of course, I can't prove it without outing myself. Fearofreprisal (talk) 03:19, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

IP Message
Hi Calidium,
You posted a message to the Talk Page associated with this IP address in June this year.
I happened to be here checking something on Wikipedia, and on seeing the message from you I thought I should let you know that this is IP is in an internet cafe, so whoever was editing your page could be anyone for all we know!
So, whoever it was, they may never be able to explain why they did their editing I'm afraid. Hope this is helpful.
No point replying to this message of course, as obviously I don't own this computer!
Best wishes,
A random internet cafe user

Drive: Thanks to everyone who participated in November's Backlog Elimination Drive. Of the 43 people who signed up for this drive, 26 copy edited at least one article. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here. Progress report: The November Drive removed 26 requests from the Requests page and 509 articles from the {{copy edit}} backlog. We copy edited 83 articles tagged in the target months; July, August, and September 2013. Together with tag removals from articles unsuitable for copy editing, we eliminated July 2013 from the backlog and reduced August and September's tags to 61 and 70 respectively. As of 01:01, 1 December 2014 (UTC), the backlog stood at 1,974 articles, dipping below 2,000 for the first time in the Guild's history (see graph at right). Well done everyone! Blitz: The December Blitz will run from December 14–20 and will focus on articles related to Religion, in recognition of this month's religious holidays in much of the English-speaking world. I gave a reason (twice) for my revisions.
No, I gave a reason for removing the content: WP:SELFPROMOTION, which I just discovered was a violation yesterday, on the article Tom and Jerry (cocktail). Apparently naming an establishment is considered advertising; as time allows I will be going through articles removing the names of those establishments. 74.79.246.70 (talk) 23:39, 17 December 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.92.248.86 (talk)

The comment
…that it "would have been easier to fix it in the first place", in the edit summaries the Colbert article is not an Edit summary, but a subjective statement of your opinion regarding my edits, and it did not AGF. Moreover, it was, is in point of fact, untrue. (This is my first visit to the article, I am not a subject matter expert on popular culture, television, or this individual, the article citations are not uniform and so not easily interpreted without some committed time to review them, etc.). It was, however, easy for an editor devoted to this article to do the necessary edits, and he did (without snide commentary), and so the matter is settled. Bottom line, the WP system of varying styles and content of editor contributions works, and values all contributions even if you do not. Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 21:07, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

May I ask why you reverted my redirect without an edit summary? I get that you declined the PROD (appropriately) on the basis that it had previously been to AfD, but that AfD was closed as no consensus - not keep - nearly two years ago. Disagreeing with me is one thing, but I would appreciate an explanation. –Chase (talk / contribs) 05:42, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
- You answered your own question. It went to AFD. There was no consensus found to delete it. -- Calidum 05:46, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
- The discussion was closed as "no consensus" due to inactivity - only two users !voted. It wasn't "no consensus" due to it being a heated, controversial debate. The closing user said clearly, "Maybe keep, maybe merge, maybe delete." Redirecting was presumably an option as well - especially since the article has barely seen any improvement in the 2 years since it was at AfD. –Chase (talk / contribs) 05:49, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

umm...
May I ask why you are removing my own comments from my talk page? –Chase (talk / contribs) 20:41, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
- Sorry. I'm on my iPhone and I accidently hit rollback while checking my watch list. I would've reverted myself had I noticed. -- Calidum 21:07, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
- OK. It seemed odd, so I figured it could have been a mistake. Just wanted to check anyhow. Thanks for clearing it up. –Chase (talk / contribs) 21:15, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

Latin
Latin is used in the state's motto in Massachusetts, so can we at least put a translation of the commonwealth's official name into the article? it seems relevant to me, its not like I wrote "Republic of Massachusetts" in Assyrian Neo Aramaic, i wrote it in Latin which is relevant to the state. --user:Neddy1234
- We generally don't put non-English names in, unless they're officially used by the state. Probably best to start a discussion on the article's talk page. -- Calidum 02:42, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
