Information icon Hello, I'm MrOllie. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Your message couldn't be more vague and uninformative. Please provide details of your complaint including the specific page involved, the element involved on that page, and the technical issue that triggered your action. Tomemorris (talk) 16:21, 11 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
All of your edits have been to add the same link. Does that narrow it down any? MrOllie (talk) 16:28, 11 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the website link I am adding includes four major categories: 1. Planetary biology, which is a scientific viewpoint that considers life in terms of the whole planet – call it a specialized application of “astrobiology;” 2. A simple (and very popular) mathematical method I developed for approximating the circumstellar habitable zone around a distant star – call this “habitable zones;” 3. A personally curated list of nearly 6000 exoplanets that is organized according to mathematics explained in my book Principles of Planetary Biology – call this an application of “exoplanets,” and “habitable zones” and 4. A free simulation application that I developed called, exoExplorer, that allows users to visualize exoplanet surface environments under different conditions – call this an application of “astrobiology,”“exoplanets,” and “habitable zones.”
So, the link I am attempting to add is not a single topic site. It includes several resources that are directly related to astrobiology, exoplanets, and circumstellar habitable zones – and is contextually appropriate.
Given this explanation, if you still have objections, would you kindly provide guidance on how I should proceed?
Thanks.

You should read WP:EL, WP:COI (and WP:PAID, which seems to apply here as well) and refrain from adding links to your own website to Wikipedia articles going forward. When links might enhance an article, you can bring this to the attention of other editors on the article's associated talk page instead for independent review. Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 16:31, 11 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
