- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

[edit] Hello, I'm Binksternet. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, San Francisco, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 03:49, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Union City, California, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 20:35, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- I made an estimate myself, and also, I provided the estimate due to homes being sold and bought, and an average of 3.5 people live in an household. So, I will revert it back to my edit. Thank you. Thelittlefaerie (talk) 22:26, 5 January 2025 (UTC)

Please do not use personal attacks, as you did on List of countries and dependencies by population diff[1], in edit summaries or anywhere on Wikipedia. Try to remain professional and resolve conflicts by focusing on content. Always use the talk page to discuss content that is in dispute, rather than edit summaries.Wizmut (talk) 23:15, 16 January 2025 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing.

Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Wizmut (talk) 05:08, 17 January 2025 (UTC)

A personal note
[edit]Hi I noticed that you edited the Afghanistan entry on the big country population list again. It seems to be an itch that just won't scratch. I get that. In your editing of Wikipedia, you'll find that you can't win em all. And that's ok. Sometimes in the process of discovering what the consensus is, you find out that it's not what you wanted. It's important to remember that it's just an encyclopedia. Wikipedia is also a big place; you can find lots of articles that need attention, and there's ideas you'll have that other editors will find agreeable. It's good to be passionate about article content but it's important to direct that energy in a way that will be constructive. Wizmut (talk) 15:58, 5 February 2025 (UTC)
