Ok buddy..
[edit]so I made an article and you fully removed it???? Offer an explanation, its a redirect BECAUSE it's a sub article for the grace song subject, thus it's naming, no need to remove every element of it.. it wasn't on Wikipedia so I added it take it up with me before fully removing something WikipedianAncientHistorian (talk) 19:19, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- @WikipedianAncientHistorian I think you're referring to Grace (song). Article content is not supposed to be on redirect pages, because usually users will not see the redirect page itself and will just go through to the page that it redirects to.
- Also, the content that you wrote appears to be about a specific song called "Grace", so it belongs on an article specifically about said song, with a link to it at Grace#Songs, which is a disambiguation page section for the many different songs called "Grace". If the specific song you had in mind does not have an article, feel free to create one and add a link to it to Grace#Songs, provided that the article is notable.
- If, on the other hand, you want to create an article about songs called "Grace" in general, I doubt such an article would be coherent, because there are lots of unrelated songs called "Grace", but if it turns out that they are connected in some way and that this connection is notable, then feel free to replace the entire redirect page with a new article about songs called "Grace" in general and put a hatnote at the top of the new article that links to Grace#Songs.
- Of course, you can copy content from previous versions of Grace (song) if necessary, so your work isn't lost. TTWIDEE (talk) 20:05, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- Unsure how to get rid of that, it keeps redirecting i have not a single clue as to how I should revert that WikipedianAncientHistorian (talk) 11:14, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- Grace (song) is a redirect because it starts with "#REDIRECT" followed by a link to another page (in this case, to Grace#Songs). If you want that page to no longer be a redirect, you need to get rid of that first line. If you're going to do that, you should also remove the {{Redirect category shell}} template (including all of the templates nested inside it) from that page, because {{Redirect category shell}} and related templates like {{R from incomplete disambiguation}} and {{R to section}} are only useful on redirect pages. Once you've done that, you can turn the page into an article by inserting the desired content.
- For more information on redirects, see Help:Redirect. TTWIDEE (talk) 11:29, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
