Notability

[edit]

Hi, I have tagged the articles K. Brent Olsen, Sequoia Psychotherapy Center & San Francisco Bay Psychotherapy Center for notability concerns. Please see WP:BIO for guidelines on the notability of biographies and WP:CORP for guideliines concerning businesses. If you can add any information to these pages that meets these guidelines, I'd suggest doing so very soon. Articles that lack sufficient notability are often deleted. -- Scientizzle 22:13, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

a favor

[edit]

Hello Svartulfr1!

Welcome to Wikipedia. I’ve seen your copyedits in the Anti-psychiatry article, which I and other editors rewrote last March.

Can I ask you a favor? When planning doing lots of copyedits, can you copy and paste the whole article (in Edit mode!) to your word processor and make the changes there before posting it again with your changes? It’s difficult for me, who edit Wikipedia only on Sundays, to track down dozens of very minor copyedits in the article.

Perhaps you may find it interesting the antipsychiatry-related articles I have created (just take a look at my user page)?

Welcome again and have fun! —Cesar Tort 04:18, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Sorry about editing the articles in the wikipedia program. I will try to be sure to use my word processor program to edit articles at all times prior to doing the permanent edits here... Also, thanks for your referencing of some interesting articles you have put together...

[edit]

Hi there... In reviewing for orphaned files, I have found the following images that you have uploaded as public domain, but do not appear to be used in any way. Please place a link in some article or user space or tag them for deletion by placing the {{db-author}} template on the image page. If there are any questions, please let me know.

Image:Male breast.jpg listed for deletion

[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Male breast.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in its not being deleted. Thank you. —Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 18:34, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do you still consider yourself active? Also, I'm trying to put together a new WikiProject called WikiProject Mental Health (fundamentally different from Psychology). There are gaping holes on Wikipedia in relation to this topic. Would you be interested? Get to know me on my user page and we'll discuss. NinaOdell | Talk 18:44, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

World's Smallest Political Quiz userbox

[edit]

You may be interested in User:Audacity/Userboxes/WSPQ, which is a replacement for the old Political Chart userbox. The new userbox takes the two variables (economic and personal freedom), calculates which political alignment they place you into (Statist, Libertarian, Liberal, Centrist, or Conservative), and links your userpage to the appropriate category.

Please reply to User talk:Audacity, as I will not be watching your talk page. Λυδαcιτγ 07:48, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Ronald K. Barrett

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Ronald K. Barrett, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? 70.186.172.75 (talk) 19:35, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

[edit]

Better late the never! 10 months after the invitation: welcome! hope to see you involved the squad more.

Hi, Svartulfr1, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles that have been tagged for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, which can be fixed and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!

If you have any questions, feel free to post a question on the talk page.

And once again — Welcome! Ikip 21:09, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Science lovers wanted!

Science lovers wanted!
Hi! I'm serving as the wikipedian-in-residence at the Smithsonian Institution Archives until June! One of my goals as resident, is to work with Wikipedians and staff to improve content on Wikipedia about people who have collections held in the Archives - most of these are scientists who held roles within the Smithsonian and/or federal government. I thought you might like to participate since you are interested in the sciences! Sign up to participate here and dive into articles needing expansion and creation on our to-do list. Feel free to make a request for images or materials at the request page, and of course, if you share your successes at the outcomes page you will receive the SIA barnstar! Thanks for your interest, and I look forward to your participation! Sarah (talk) 00:48, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. We're into the last five days of the Women in Red World Contest. There's a new bonus prize of $200 worth of books of your choice to win for creating the most new women biographies between 0:00 on the 26th and 23:59 on 30th November. If you've been contributing to the contest, thank you for your support, we've produced over 2000 articles. If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!

Notice

The article Patrick McCollum has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't seem to meet notability.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
