Dr. John S. Balogun: Journey In Years The Children and Adolescents Sexual and Reproductive Health Awareness (CASRHA) Foundation is a Not – for – Profit Organization founded with the aim of raising sexually informed children and Adolescents.

Research has shown that the early the exposure to age-appropriate, culturally relevant, scientifically accurate and spiritually edifying Sex Education, the better the outcome.

Objectives of the Foundation General Objectives: 1. To educate children and adolescents about sexual and reproductive health through awareness creation about safe sexual practices, prevention of sexually transmitted infections including HIV/AIDS, and prevention of teenage pregnancy and unsafe abortion. 2. To develop and strengthen the ability of children and young people to make conscious, satisfying, healthy and respectful choices regarding relationships, sexuality and emotional and physical health.

Specific Objectives: 1. To encourage children and young adults to defer sexual practices until appropriate time. 2. To provide young people with the knowledge and skills to promote their sexual health and well-being as they mature into sexually healthy adults. 3. To provide accurate information about human sexuality. 4. To provide an opportunity for young people to develop and understand their values, attitudes, and insights about sexuality. 5. To help young people develop relationships and interpersonal skills. 6. To help young people exercise responsibility regarding sexual relationships, including addressing abstinence, pressures to become prematurely involved in sexual intercourse, and a use of contraception and other sexual health measures. 7. To develop specific behavioral goals of preventing HIV/sexually transmitted diseases (STD)/pregnancy, give clear messages about responsible behavior, and address psychosocial risk and protective factors. 8. To educate children and young adults on how to become sexually healthy people; to discover and/or learn how their bodies work, how they feel about their bodies, how to care for their bodies, how they perceive their gender identity, how to express their sense of their gender, who they find themselves attracted to romantically and sexually; how to be in intimate relationships; how to respect their own and others’ boundaries; how to avoid unhealthy or exploitative experiences and relationships; recognize and deal with peer pressure; and how to make healthy sexual decisions. 9.
