Help make Pakistan related articles sound less like advertisement brochures
Hello,
I noticed some articles on Pakistan related topics (such as Business Process Outsourcing in Pakistan or Integrated Dynamics) read too much like advertisements. Could you edit these articles to make them read more neutral? Unfortunately, articles that read too much like advertisements will reduce the credibility of both the article itself, and the topic at hand (like BPO in Pakistan or Integrated Dynamics) for anyone reading the article who is not already familiar with the topic, like myself.

Image tagging for Image:Sadiq public school.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Sadiq public school.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Re:Pakistan medals
Hi Sulaimandaud - I'm not sure just what sort of help you need for uploading those images - is it a problem with how to do the uploading, or with copyright? Let me know and I'll see what I can do. Grutness...wha? 04:05, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Okay... the main question is - where did the pictures come from? If you photographed or drew them yourself there's no problem - you can add a {{gfdl-self}} tag to them if you are willing to put them on Wikipedia. If the pictures came from another source (like a website or a magazine, for instance), you'd have to get permission to use them on Wikipedia. The two pages linked in the previous message on this page should give you more information. If there's anything specific that you're not sure of, then let me know what it is - it'll be easier to help if I know exactly what the question is! Grutness...wha? 01:05, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:China yuan 1 f.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:China yuan 1 f.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 22:10, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

List of schools and colleges administrated by the Pakistan Military
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of schools and colleges administrated by the Pakistan Military, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of List of schools and colleges administrated by the Pakistan Military. SMS Talk 13:45, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Speedy and prod
I declined your speedy deletion tag on Azad Institute of Engineering & Technology . You labelled it no context, but context is clear--its a university in a particular place. If you can tell what the article is about, there is sufficient context to pass speedy. Nor does it fit any other reason for speedy deletion--t just needs references. I find it helps me to re-read WP:CSD every once in a while -- and to remember that the conditions are interpreted narrowly. DGG ( talk ) 13:48, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
The deletion tags for Lucas Sullivant were removed by another admin. None of them were valid; as their edit summary said "Easily identified. Founding a town is a reasonalb e assertion of significance " I note that it doesnt help to say to the user: various reasons. Specify them, because if the article does get deleted before they have a chance to see it, they won;t subsequently be able to see.
You have also nominated as BLP prod several articles that do have references, even though they do not have reference tags., such as Samuel Akinniyi Ajiboyede. Please note that there is no prescribed for of reference at WP-anything that adequately shows the sources is acceptable. /And for BLP PROD, all that is necessary is one reference documenting the essential basis of importance.
I see that about 1/3 of your deletion requests have been denied by various administrators. This is far too high a proportion: you should aim for 5% at most. . Please read and follow WP:Deletion policy more carefully. the survival of WP depends on continuing to attract new editors, and this will not be done by deleting their articles unnecessarily. I see you have again deleted ALL categories listed. I get the concept of over categorization, but under categorization is also something of concern. I am adding a some of the categories back, if you want to delete them please tell me why on a per case basis.

Disambiguation link notification for July 17
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Energy minister, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nuclear Energy. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Punjab Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.punjab.gov.pk/auqaf_and_religious_affairs.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. RepRisk - Written as Advertisement (removed; guidance requested)
Sulaimandaud: Assalamu Alaykum! I have removed the tag you placed on the RepRisk page, as I am not completely finished editing and uploading content. That said, I would love your feedback on why you marked it as too advertorial. All the content came from reputable third-party sources (i.e. The Financial Times) and I stayed away from promotional language. I've created and edited several pages over the last few years (unfortunately, many were done without me logging in), and I've never really had any issues in the past. Any insight you could provide into why you thought it was too advertorial would be much appreciated! Many thanks! Dchrisbrown (talk) 15:44, 25 July 2014 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
Hello Sulaimandaud, and welcome to Wikipedia. Some of your addition to Punjab Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Moonriddengirl (talk) 01:22, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
- This is the second article into which you have pasted content in recent weeks. Please review Wikipedia:Copy-paste. I'm afraid that if you continue to do this, it will be necessary to block your account until we have some reason to believe that you will stop. It's important that your contributions to Wikipedia comply with our copyright policies. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 01:23, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. I appreciate your intentions, but I'm afraid that you really didn't remove the content. I just removed material from both articles. For instance:
http://www.punjab.gov.pk/auqaf_and_religious_affairs | Text as originally placed in the article | Text as it was when I removed it |
---|---|---|
The Auqaf Organization is a self fund generating body. The basic funding is received from shrine donations, leases of agricultural lands and rents from commercial and residential properties. The basic funding is received from shrine donations, leases of agricultural lands and rents from commercial and residential properties. 'The funds generated are utilized for education, medical facilities, social welfare and the upkeep of important religious monuments and holy places. |

- To make it easier to see copying, I've bolded where the content you placed in the article duplicated the source. It is identical, save for the first few words. Your only change was to add wikilinking.
- While information is not copyrightable, the presentation of information is - and this includes both language and structure. When creating content on Wikipedia, we generally must use our own structure and language to describe information. Again, Wikipedia:Copy-paste is helpful in avoiding these issues. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 01:49, 28 July 2014 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Council of Common Interests, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Council of Common Interest. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 08:49, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
Ways to improve Federalism in Pakistan
Hi, I'm Newrunner769. Sulaimandaud, thanks for creating Federalism in Pakistan!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. There's just really a few facts. Try to get multiple facts.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Newrunner769 (talk) 21:29, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 03:03, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as FATA Disaster Management Authority. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 19:58, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted
Hi Sulaimandaud, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Swarm ♠ 05:46, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
New page reviewer granted
Hello Sulaimandaud. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia, if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.
- URGENT: Please consider helping get the huge backlog down to a manageable number of pages as soon as possible.
- Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
- You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
- Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
- Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. Swarm ♠ 05:47, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
Tagging
Thanks for adding articles into the Pakistan WikiProject. Check out Template:WikiProject Pakistan for the various sub-projects too and how to add them, which may be relevant. For example, if you tag Category talk:Archaeological sites in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas as {{WikiProject Pakistan|FATA=yes}}, it would also put it under the FATA WikiProject.
