I have successfully contributed one of my Corvette C7R photos to Wikimedia Commons: (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:2014-07-25IndyIMSAIMG_3785.jpg)

I then attempted to add it to the relevant article in Wikipedia:

Chevrolet Corvette (C7)

in the appropriate section:

Corvette C7.R (2014-)

The link shows up in the article but no photo. When I click on the link I get the following message:

Permission error You do not have permission to upload this file, for the following reason: The action you have requested is limited to users in one of the groups: Autoconfirmed users, Administrators, Confirmed users.

I have successfully done the above procedure in the past but now I can't make it work.

What you have to do is place the file name inside square brackets, not the url. Like this:

[[File:2014-07-25IndyIMSAIMG 3785.jpg|thumb|Corvette C7R team at Indianapolis IMSA race July 25, 2014]]
