Advice
You're getting a lot of things wrong again, unfortunately. For example, Effort-reward imbalance model was a massive Copyvio from multiple academic papers, which even I couldn't re-write and had to send to a special department. An experienced eye knows instinctively that such a page is going to be a problem. Take Worm's advice and stay away from stuff you're not sure of and things that involve warning other editors. There's a lot more gnoming you can do without getting too deeply involved. Patrol new pages by all means but only go for the very low hanging fruit, leave the less obvious ones, CSD, PROD, and AfC for more experienced patrollers. Do some anti-vandal work too, but keep it simple and be absolutely sure it's vandalism. Above all, add content, content, content... Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 13:48, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

Nice sig
Nice new sig sportsguy. I like it! — dainomite 15:23, 24 October 2013 (UTC) Oh, I noticed it was a bit longer than allowed per WP:SIG at 277 characters, however! You can get the same results and be within the guidelines still. This is 246 characters and looks the exact same as your existing signature...

Best regards, — dainomite 15:47, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- Dainomite, mate if it was 277 characters then it would'n't be allowed in the preferences box! as the limit is 255 characters. Would you enlighten me a bit here? Sohambanerjee1998 11:38, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
- @Sohambanerjee1998:, sure! Basically if someone fills the signature box in preferences with wikitext where they subst in code from another page they can get around the 255 character limit. So for example if your signature box in preferences had {{SUBST:User:Sohambanerjee1998/sig}} then it wouldn't be less than the 255 character limit because it would only recognize the 40ish characters in the box, but when you would sign your signature would be subst'd from that subpage, regardless of the length of User:Sohambanerjee1998/sig. However, per Wikipedia:SIGLEN the resulting signature must still be within the 255 character limit. — dainomite 12:20, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
- Dainomite what are you doing? Thats a secret! Even I thought of using it once but fearing the consequences I stepped back. So I know but since I did not have access the Sportsguys pref box I did not knew! BTW you have a nice signature! Sohambanerjee1998 12:24, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
- Hehe, it's not a secret, it's even allowed "If substitution of templates or another page is used, please be careful to verify that you are not violating the length limit, as the software will not do this automatically." from WP:SIGLEN. Thanks for the compliments on my signature. I just made this new one a few weeks ago, still enjoy looking at it. Although I've noticed that some computers don't recognize the font I have in it or instead of the shape I in it it shows up as a box instead. — dainomite 12:46, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
- Dainomite, I see you're pretty finicky about sigs, actually this is the first time I found someone like me :). For proof look at this page - User:Sohambanerjee1998/Signatures. Sohambanerjee1998 12:31, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not finicky, I was schooled once about signatures once and had to change my entire sig because of it because I didn't know "the rules". I was just trying to help out sportsguy keep his same sig but just optimize his signature to be within the character limits. Hehehe, I play with signatures in my sandbox... User:Dainomite/sandbox#Sig_work and here's my "sig history", User:Dainomite/File_cabinet#Signature_history. — dainomite 12:46, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

NCAA men's basketball season pages
I noticed you've been creating a lot of college men's basketball season articles. A couple points to note:
- Please also include the category for that team's conference season (in other words, I had to go in and add "Category:1986–87 Southeastern Conference men's basketball season" to the 1986–87 Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team article; please include that from the onset).
- On a number of articles, you've put in the infobox where a team made it to the NCAA Tournament's Final Four (see this uncorrected/original version of the 1985–86 Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team article). Being a "regional runner-up" is NOT being in the Final Four. All it means is that Kentucky made it to the Elite Eight. To verify whether a team made it to the Final Four, look at that year's NCAA Tournament article toward the very bottom in the subsection called "Final Four."
If you have any questions let me know. Jrcla2 (talk) 14:28, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, Jrcla2. Thank you for mentioning some pointers. For the category, much thanks for letting me know. That is a completely relevant category and that was my error. With the Final Four, I just realized I had misread it, but then you had fixed it (should've thanked you for that ) and I also remembered that in the navbox that the Final Four years are italicized, so that should've been a dead giveaway. Anyway, thanks for dropping me that note, both have been duly noted and I will be putting that in my toolbox. Thanks and happy editing! Sportsguy17 01:18, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I'm glad to see someone besides the college basketball regulars taking initiative, but I wanted to make sure these pages were being made correctly. Jrcla2 (talk) 13:53, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

Boston / Milwaukee service
In response to your edit to the Boston Logan Airport page, see http://i.imgur.com/A9AfVrJ.png. AirTran no longer operates nonstop service between Boston and Milwaukee. After Southwest took over the route in November of 2012, Southwest had two nonstop round trips daily between the cities, and in certain months (April), had AirTran operating one daily nonstop round trip due to the insufficient demand for a third Southwest flight (and thus a third 737) but the sufficient demand for a third flight on a 717. With Southwest phasing out all AirTran flights in 2014, there will not be any seasonal AirTran service between Boston and Milwaukee in 2014 (and thus, never again).

- Does that mean the icons on my talkpage and a lot of others' talk pages are also violations? I use the images as links because they're a lot easier to press on a cellphone's small screen than the tiny text underneath them. Even on a desktop, sometimes I instinctively click images because they're what naturally draws my attention. If the images can't stay, a lot of people need to know about it. I will make some replacement images if I have to. —Soap— 03:41, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
- Yes. You don't have to link with the image, just provide attribution in some way. Or find images that are in the public domain. Ramaksoud2000 (Talk to me) 04:40, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

- Sportsguy, that you cherish the memory of Jackson Peebles is greatly appreciated, but to add that phrase to your own signature with a link to your own talk page is a bit ostentatious and perhaps odd, and I think it would be respectful to remove it. By the way, I don't know what you've done with this talk page, but there's all kinds of code and images going right through this editing screen. Also, in regard to the ANI comment, I didn't say we "should just formalize a 'ban on sight' type of routine"; I didn't say that at all. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 03:42, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
- Drmies, I have changed my sig for all respect to Jackson. I am figuring out the issue with my talk page right now, so that will have to wait. And Drmies, when I said what I said at the AN/U thread, I meant a "revert all edits on sight", not ban on site. You said , Seriously, a ban discussion is useful to formalize things like "revert on sight", which is great for the mass rollbackers and that's what I was referring too. My apologies for any inconveniences regarding things. Thanks. Sportsguy17 (Chat with me!) 03:46, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
- (edit... conflict...) Sitting here using an ordinary web browser on an ordinary computer. I don't see any use of Jackson's name linked to Sportsguy's talk page. I also don't see "all kinds of code and images going right through this editing screen". I don't know what the other disagreements between the two of you are about.
Sportsguy, it might be wiser not to mention Jackson in your signature at all, just to avoid any misunderstandings, which I see you did now. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 03:48, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you. Thing is, such editors are already de facto banned, which makes a discussion redundant. Demiurge, I'm looking at what looks like a left-panel user menu in small, blue font (clickable!) on the left margin of this editing screen. Drmies (talk) 03:50, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
- (ec X God knows how many) - Demiurge1000, with regards to the code going through the screen, it doesn't happen on my smartphone or one of my two desktops, but it does happen on the other. Also, I think Drmies meant everything in good faith. Thanks for raising concerns. Sportsguy17 (Chat with me!) 03:51, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
- It's something about the edit notice, User talk:Sportsguy17/Editnotice. Drmies (talk) 03:52, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
- No problem, I think it's always a good idea to work with each other to raise as many concerns as possible. I do see something that might be considered an unwelcome overlapping menu, now that I narrow my eyes and look carefully and only edit a section of the page instead of editing the whole page. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 03:54, 23 November 2013 (UTC)

With regards to MLB, it is one of WikiProject Baseball's core articles and there's so much great information about it, so I got a team of three editors over at the project's talk page, then we figured out what needed to happen so it could end up relisted as a GA and we got to work. Proposed
Check this User:Captain Assassin!/sandbox1, and move it to Shaan Shahid filmography - I'll make other changes in article space. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 03:40, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but not yet. I do not feel comfortable adding an unsourced BLP into mainspace. Find some references and expand the lead. You're doing good, just remember quality over quantity. Sportsguy17 (T • C) 03:42, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- No problem, I'll add first. I just thought I'd do it in article space. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 03:50, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you. Although you could do it in mainspace, its better to be safe than to be sorry: just get the sources done where your going to be less scrutinized. It'll also help you earn trust back from editors such as Rusted AutoParts. Sportsguy17 (T • C) 03:54, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Captain Assassin! what should the name of the article be? Sportsguy17 (T • C) 04:23, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, It was really a busy day for me so I couldn't reach, thanks for moving the article. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 16:07, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Now review this User:Captain Assassin!/sandbox1 and move it to Jenny's Wedding - get it boy? --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 17:53, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
