This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well potentially being penalized by search engines. Hi Ohnoitsjamie, I'm curious as to why my contributions keep on getting removed. For instance I added a link to Arizona State University which is a directory to Arizona State Alumni and Faculty. Spock is a people search, and the link I contributed was for a specific search for Arizona State Alumni and faculty. Is it because the link contains a long list of various occupations and companies? Those particular links are connected to ASU alumni (ie graduate of ASU that works at Microsoft). Is this not relevant? SpockTeam2008

Have you actually read WP:EL? Specifically, Links to be normally avoided #9: "Links to the results pages of search engines, Search aggregators, or RSS feeds." --NeilN talkcontribs 22:54, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that it technically is categorized as a search engine, however Spock is different because the link leads to a Spock profile of people that fit a certain criteria (such as Arizona State Alumni that work at Microsoft), as opposed to directly linking to pages of people on other sites .

With regard to link relevancy- I fail to see why this external link http://www.tropicmon.com/ is more relevant than this (http://www.spock.com/q/IFOCE) on the search of competitive eating. SpockTeam2008

Apparently you haven't read WP:COI yet. OhNoitsJamie Talk 23:43, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
However, thank you for pointing out that link. I have removed it and others not meeting WP:EL. --NeilN talkcontribs 00:03, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey I know that I've been blocked but Wikipedia contains a number of external links from a search engine called "pipl" SpockTeam2008
