Hello Welcome To My Chat Page, Edit is in the top right hand corner, if you would like to leave me a message (Or An Award!) or anything, i will probably reply back on this page and leave you a message on your page saying i have replied because it's much easier for me to locate all my convocations that way, sometime soon i may end up moving to a different account called "Gaogier which is my main account and this page will redirect there, so you can talk to me there but for now i am here on my TempGao so chat away i am happy to help, you can contribute with me in "The Sega Project" if you like, just click TSP on the task bar, thank you
I almost forgot to mention, Gaogier, that I have started issuing newsletters as part of the Sega Project. Another one is coming up, but here's the first two since you missed them.
Hey, Gaogier. Just thought I'd catch you up on things that have happened on here around me and the Sega Project since you left. There's been a lot, so I'll try to make this quick and I'll list it out.
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for for being just another sock of your previous account. Please come to my page to see my reply to your request - and please pay very close attention to the issues that wikipedia has with your page style (I am talking about your flag inclusion over the edit and other tabs).. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. --VStalk11:19, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I accept and i shall do as so, But please don't delete TempGao util i have copied all the pages (With all the buttons showing instead of full flag) to my Main Account. I have printed out Wikipedia's policies and guidelines and I am reading them all.GaogierChat!21:59, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
PS: Red Phonix, on my pages where you see where my flag is set it says 40px, please change that to 0px to meet the guidelines, i cannot change it because i am a sock , Thank You. GaogierChat!22:13, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Gaogier - please post the above response (yours to me) under the thread on my talk page - so that it can be kept together for future reference (which I hope will never have to be used).--VStalk22:16, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But I can't, i'm a sock, thats why i posted here, it is also why i cannot change the flag on all my pages, ill have to wait for my IP to change again :(, Please can you copy it over, I have added it to my version of your page below.GaogierChat!22:19, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Virtual Steve i am really sorry for all my mistakes and i regret that i made them, though the time of being banned i have started to understand what i had done wrong and i do believe most of it is my fault and i should not of made those decisions, right now i am asking for a chance to reclaim my account so i can get some of the many tasks of the Sega project done, since the project is pile up more work day by day and there is only two other people on the project doing anything at all, back to my point i am really sorry and i hope you can understand this because it is coming straight from the heart, thank you and i hope you make the right choice. GaogierChat!02:54, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Gaogier - I have an initial question regarding your last point before I re-consider. Can you give your view as to why this IP edited on User:Gaogier/Syolus (which of course was a very obscure page) & and this image which you created (Image:Syole uk2.PNG.)as if it was you? --VStalk07:32, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Syole is my own company that i am trying to build but it is not going well so far, i tried to build my own wikipedia page within my account for it for my own purpose only ^^
That IP could of been someone in my house, I do not know but I do know that that was not me I am unsure on anything to do with it sorry, any chance you can some how revive my Syole page :( ? GaogierChat!02:12, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Gaogier - I am not prepared to revive the Syole page because it reflects conflict of interest. ... I am however prepared to unblock you if you are prepared to commit here to your following of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines as far as is possible and definitely to not purposefully disrupt wikipedia in any way? Please let me know if you accept this chance by replying in an affirmative statement that reflects your commitment and understanding that any further disruption will result in an immediate re-blocking?--VStalk10:59, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
PS One of the first things you need to do before you are unblocked is not return the flag to your Gaogier page as you have at TempGao - this flag hides the edit, history and other tabs and is inappropriate. TempGao is of course a sock at this stage and will need to be deleted.--VStalk11:07, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for uploading Image:MichaelAtTheWhiteHouse.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:06, 15 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? MECU≈talk19:06, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I would help as i do know but i'm actually banned right now, if i manage to appeal that then i will help, sorry hopefully i will be back on wikipedia soon.GaogierChat!10:40, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Gaogier. I've decided that I'm going to try and help you get unblocked. As you said yourself, you say that you feel like 'a bandit' around here, and you sound like you're sorry for what happened in the first place. Anyway, let's start by going over the situation. (lol I'm going to set this up like one of my assessments).
According to your block log, you were blocked for this reason by VirtualSteve:
(Abusing sock puppet accounts: Please see block notice for evidence links that this editor is usurping other accounts; maliciously redirecting FA redirects; and removing user page content using other sock IPs)
Okay, well, first off, we'll address the sock puppet issue. Starting with the IP's, obviously you forgot to log in. It's not unusual for someone to have multiple IP's, I have one that's 149. something here at college and one that's 72. something at my home in Fort Wayne. It might be helpful, though, if you can catch yourself after you sign it under an IP address, and just mention that that person is you. It's a good idea to manually sign all your posts. Just tell the admin that you're sorry about that.
As for the usurping other accounts, this is probably the most damaging bit. What did you do? I remember reading something about you and Chicken7. I really can't help you with this one since I don't know what happened.
As for your dispute with Doktor Wilhelm that led up to the block, you can use some of his comments that he left me here. You also apologized to that the first time, I saw, and you did recognize what you did wrong. You might also help your case by telling the admin that you now recognize that a situation like this is something to take to dispute resolution.
For the FA redirects, well, I saw the General Sherman redirect, and yeah, you probably shouldn't have done that one. But let's be realistic here, is it really that malicious? Granted, it's not exactly a good redirect, but it's not like you redirected something absolutely ridiculous. Tell the admin you made a misjudgment, and a tip for the future: people are sensitive about redirecting away from an FA since FA's are supposed to be Wikipedia's best articles.
Anyway, basically you're going to really have to apologize to the admin, tell them you know what you did was wrong (for all four cases, don't try to defend yourself unless you didn't do one of them), and show them you know what the right thing to do is. That's the best I can give you for now, feel free to send me something on my talk page if you've got comments. Red Phoenixflame of life...protector of all...18:30, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You have been unblocked and your pages are no longer protected
Okay Gaogier - based on our discussion and your agreement at my talk page I will unblock you on the conditions agreed to by you You can now recommence your editing. Please remain within our agreement and return only to the previously good editing that you did. If unsure ask myself or another administrator for advice or assistance. Good luck & welcome back. I will wait a day or two before deleting TempGao.--VStalk22:17, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In which case it probably isn't needed, as we do have a good picture for 2008. What is he wearing? Maybe his clothing witll be useful to the article. — Realist214:24, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Red Phoenixflame of life...protector of all... has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling at someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Cheers, and Happy editing! Smile at others by adding {{subst:Smile}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
Gaogier, Ryulong decided the SP logo was derivative and deleted it. While we discuss and come up with more, here's what I've snapped together as a temporary logo.
Gao says: Our logo is derivative and Unknown The Hegehogs picture is not, I no longer understand what is and what isn't but I'll make a new logo, not now but soon enough I'm on my iPhone right now. 86.16.231.215 (talk) 22:35, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers for commenting, please keep the project page on your watchlist for quite some time, need to keep up to date with the discussion, more info/ suggestions might/will be added at some point. — Realist216:34, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I really like how you got all the cool colors in your backround, so, I tried doing it myself...Didn't work out to well. So, I has hoping that you could help me make the backround of my userpage this color Think you can help? Thank you. SkeletalS.L.J.C.O.A.A.A.T.R.Soul 01:19 16:58, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How's that? Would you like a different color scheme? Oh, are sure about the image? I'm not 100% positive but, I think that as long as it has even one difference, it should be fine. As for me getting blocked, no big deal. SkeletalS.L.J.C.O.A.A.A.T.R.Soul19:50, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Could you forward the email permission you recieved (along with a link to where you have uploaded the images it applies to) to the Wikimedia OTRS team on the address given here? This means that the permission for the image is stored by Wikimedia, and the images won't end up deleted as a precaution. J Milburn (talk) 17:31, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Was the permission received by email? If you open the email, there should be a 'forward' button, allowing you to send it to another address. Send it to the address given on the link above, and add a note saying 'I have uploaded this image to http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Image:Post_Project_ship_in_CS_Gardens.jpg'. Otherwise, there is no evidence that the image is licensed as you say it is. Shortly after you upload an image to Wikipedia, it will be copied all over the Internet. J Milburn (talk) 17:36, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, don't copy it to me, forward it to the address above. Do you honestly not know how to do that? Open the email from your inbox, and somewhere near the 'reply' button, there will be a button that says 'forward'. Don't forget to add a note saying where the image you have uploaded is, so that the OTRS volunteers can add a message verifying the licensing. J Milburn (talk) 17:49, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, there's no reason to delete the image- just forward the email with a note about where you have uploaded it. It only takes two minutes. J Milburn (talk) 17:53, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This crappy attempt at bringing back the lost character articles. Seriously, they didn't need to be merged. They just needed some well dedicated users to work tirelessly on them, and they would've ben fine. Alas... SkeletalSLJCOAAATRSoulsor20:00, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, sorry. I was talking about the character articles. :P All I heard was that Nintendo died. I haven't really been doing much (Wikipedia wise) since school started. I've barely ket up with what's going on with projects, articles etc. SkeletalSLJCOAAATRSoulsor20:32, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If I weren't getting Sonic Chronicles tomorrow morning (2 days off from school lol), I'd try doing some work on Sonic related articles. Hopefully, we'll last a bit longer, and I may know of a few people who might prove to be helpful to the project. Unfortunatley, they rarely ever check their email... /: SkeletalSLJCOAAATRSoulsor22:41, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry that I've been gone so long, Gaogier, it's just that school has really kept me busy lately. But, to answer your question, I'm sorry to say that I don't think it was the right decision. It's not that the project scope is too small, or that our member list is too small, but that our number of active members is low. Personally, I don't see how making the project a VG task force will help out either, since it's all just a dumb matter of organization, and that's my opinion.
Unfortunately, I have to stay semi-retired because of my life right now, not to mention that I'm finding editing on Wikipedia less and less fun, and it's going to be rough without me for the project, I know. But even if the project folds, I'm glad to know that the project helped me find fellow editors that I can work with and count on. Red Phoenixflame of life...protector of all...16:30, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We have been turned into a task force for WikiProject:Video games, but to stop the task force from being deleted we need you guys to be more active and there's a good chance we can be WikiProject again if you are.
In this segment each issue, the newsletter selects a member who has performed acts of merit for the task force or to its respective articles. If you would like to be selected for the task forces Featured Member, please contact Gaogier (talk·contribs), show what acts you have performed that are worthy of merit, and talk a little about yourself; it's for fun!
SynergyBlades (talk·contribs) Although not actually a member, SynergyBlades has done well and helped the Sega Task Force by improving new Sonic video game articles and deserves our thanks.
For all subsequent issues, the Sega Task Force is still looking for columnists for the newsletter, to be released roughly every month, though no exact deadline for the newsletter will be set. If you would like to write a column for Sega Task Force and have it displayed here in the newsletter, please make a note of this at WT:SEGA. Columns can be about anything about Sega (and its related franchises), Wikipedia, or the Sega Task Force. Thank you for your submissions.
Active Members - Yet Again!
Members of the Sega Task Force, most of you are inactive around the task force, and this is what turned the Sega Project into a task force. While the active members can understand this, we would like more of our members to be active around the project. All you need to do is to use the task forces talk page and discuss issues with project members. In return, active task force members will help you with any help you might need. So please, we ask all of you to become more active around the task force and make use of what you have signed up to become part of. If you have any questions or comments, just bring your comments to WT:SEGA or you can contact Gaogier personally at his talk page.
Sonic the Hedgehog Merge.
Most of the Sonic the Hedgehog character articles have been merged to help clean up fancruft. Further discussion of cleaning is being held here
DCsniper207 (talk) is wishing you a MerryChristmas! This greeting (and season) promotes WikiLove and hopefully this note has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a Merry Christmas, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Don't eat yellow snow!
Spread the holiday cheer by adding {{subst:User:Flaming/MC2008}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.
All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:
Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.
Members listed in the "Unknown" section will be removed from the membership list and category at the end of January 2010. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.
You are being contacted because you have in the past participated in the Valued Picture project. The VPC project is suffering from a chronic lack of participation to the point that the project is at an impasse. A discussion is currently taking place about the future of this project and how to revitalize the project and participation. If you're interested in this project or have an idea of how to improve it please stop by and participate in the discussion.
Hello Sir Simon Tolhurst! The WMF is currently developing new tools to make new page patrolling much easier. Whether you have patrolled many pages or only a few, we now need to know about your experience. The survey takes only 6 minutes, and the information you provide will not be shared with third parties other than to assist us in analyzing the results of the survey; the WMF will not use the information to identify you.
If this invitation also appears on other accounts you may have, please complete the survey once only.
If this has been sent to you in error and you have never patrolled new pages, please ignore it.
Please click HERE to take part.
Many thanks in advance for providing this essential feedback.
You are receiving this invitation because you have patrolled new pages. For more information, please see NPP Survey
A remark is now included by myself further to what you yourself have said briefly on this Talk Page relating to Buckingham Palace Gaogier. I must add that if anyone is interested in this rather obscure affair other sites both in Wikipedia and elsewhere can be detailed. I must add also that in my own opinion this is clearly, even if rather obscure and apparently irrelevant, a nationally signifcant issue in historical and architectural terms, at a European level. Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Opalkk5.JPG is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.
If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion,
a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.
Wow, Simon, I'm surprised you're still here. Do you remember me from the Sega Task Force? Of course, back then it was WikiProject Sega. I've been pretty much retired for the last four years, but I've thought about making a comeback tour since I have some free time now, and I'm also quite a bit older. Sounds like fun, doesn't it? Red Phoenixbuild the future...remember the past...14:35, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh absolutely I'm all for it, if I have time. I've gone from being a freshman in college to an assistant manager at one of the largest retailers in the United States, so I will admit at times I'm likely to be quite busy, but I'd still love to come back and work on WP:SEGA again. I still am and always will be a fan of Sega and of Sonic the Hedgehog. I think we have such a unique opportunity now that it's almost like starting over, but that seems like a neat opportunity. I'm still restructuring my pages again to get organized, so I'll keep the discussion going at the Sega task force's talk page and we can catch up there and start talking about the reboot. Long live WP:SEGA! Red Phoenixbuild the future...remember the past...15:28, 8 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:User Simon Alexander Tolhurst.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Laura Cosoi (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Image source problem with File:MJ We Are The World Illustration.png
This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.
While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.
