Question from SixMonksWithATomb (00:46, 18 October 2024)

Hello! I've never edited Wikipedia before. I just noticed that in the article Reed Research Reactor, it says that it is the only reactor ran by undergraduates, and I think that is untrue, mostly because I am a reactor operator for the AGN-201 reactor at Idaho State University, which is mostly ran by undergraduate students. --SixMonksWithATomb (talk) 00:46, 18 October 2024 (UTC)

@SixMonksWithATomb welcome to Wikipedia! In general such statements are at high risk of becoming outdated or fail to prove high bar of proving a negative in Reed Research Reactor. Can you provide a WP:Reliable in general for the AGN-201 reactor? ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 07:59, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
Nothing that is publicly published. I'll change it back. Thank you for your insight!\ SixMonksWithATomb (talk) 13:44, 23 October 2024 (UTC)

Question from Flo4Raul (20:44, 28 October 2024)

Promotion of Tesla and unions

Congratulations, Shushugah! The article you nominated, Tesla and unions, has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best articles on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.
This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main page as Today's featured article. Keep up the great work! Cheers, FrB.TG (talk) via FACBot (talk) 00:06, 29 October 2024 (UTC)

Question from Linda M Lou on Eastland Center (Michigan) (15:53, 4 November 2024)

How do I correct misinformation on Eastland mall being an enclosed mall. I lived close to there and shopped there while growing up. It was originally an open mall with covered walkways. It wasn’t enclosed & climate controlled. until 1975. How can I send you pics of this? Kalamazoo mall was built by same architect. --Linda M Lou (talk) 15:53, 4 November 2024 (UTC)

@Linda M Lou finding something incorrect on Wikipedia is a gem. While this claim seems uncontroversial and routine, we require WP:VERIFICATION namely a source. The claim that it was enclosed is also not present in the source used (this one) so you could remove it. Happy editing! ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 16:01, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
Architect Victor Gruen designed Eastland Mall, Northland Mall, and Westland Mall. All were originally open walkways and patios, and were later enclosed. You will need to find sources to corroborate my memory. I preferred the original designs. 7&6=thirteen () 16:18, 4 November 2024 (UTC)

Right to sit law in Germany

Are you aware if there is a right to sit law in Germany? It is my understanding that it is culturally normalized in Germany for cashiers to sit down. Aldi stores in the US are notably one of the only grocery stores where cashiers sit down. But is it a law? I've tried looking through the German law code, but haven't found anything yet. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 10:57, 10 November 2024 (UTC)

@Bohemian Baltimore Yep! In addition to laws/acts (Gesezt) there are legal ordinances and this one is even available in English https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/englisch_arbst_ttv/englisch_arbst_ttv.html specifically paragraph 3.3 on equipment including seating. Beyond that, health and safety topics are within realm of collective bargaining and works council co-determination of workplace hazards. I hope this helps! ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 14:53, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
@Shushugah Excellent! I've added it to the article. You wouldn't happen to know about Austria or Switzerland, would you? Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 23:37, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
@Shushugah I found Austria's law. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 02:23, 12 November 2024 (UTC)

@AceORandom welcome to Wikipedia, check out WP:TUTORIAL. I also see you made a draft for 2023 elections, which might be too early. I added some helpful links and would encourage you to edit existing articles first to get the hang of the syntax and policy norms.
