Image copyright problem with Image:Gerhard Ertl.JPG
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Gerhard Ertl.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 10:36, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ItsNotAbouttheBike bookcover.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:ItsNotAbouttheBike bookcover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 12:19, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Typo redirect Vadi (disambigulation)
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Vadi (disambigulation), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Vadi (disambigulation) is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Vadi (disambigulation), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Speedy deletion nomination of Tata Crucible
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Tata Crucible requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Robert McClenon (talk) 19:45, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Robert McClenon, With regard to the subject of the article that you nominated for speedy deletion, and which was subsequently deleted, allow me to provide further information. Tata Crucible is a highly regarded TV quiz show in organized across 30+ cities in India and in Singapore, with close to 4,000 teams participating. The show itself is telecasted on CNBC TV18 in India, a well-regarded channel. The quiz has been in existence for the 13 years now, and is widely covered in national media. With regard to its notability, I believe the following links should be useful:

- Significant coverage as understood under the notability guidelines is clearly evident here, I would contest the deletion carried out without further investigation. Considering the mass appeal and wide coverage enjoyed by the quiz, a Wikipedia article on the subject seems certainly warranted. Shobhit102 | talk 21:39, 16 February 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Horseshoe crab, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Springer (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Speedy deletion nomination of User:Shobhit102/sandbox
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Shobhit102/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from from listed sources. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —SpacemanSpiff 08:34, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
- Our copyright policies apply to all name spaces and you are continuing to lift sentences from the New York Times and Economist with blatant disregard for it, despite being alerted to it multiple times. I'm letting it slide now but your excuses are wearing thin now. —SpacemanSpiff 08:36, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

Request reason:
I seem to have been blocked for my contributions to the page Raghuram Rajan, which were deemed to be copyvio. It has been stated that this is due to a recurrence of copyvio. I admit I had been responsible for copyvio in my earlier contributions to the article Fault Lines: How Hidden Fractures Still Threaten the World Economy. It had been a while since I edited here, and needed a better understanding of WP policy as it stands. I perfectly understand the concern, and appreciate the earlier notification which enabled me to revisit policy. As can be seen, the current version of Fault Lines: How Hidden Fractures Still Threaten the World Economy would not any copyvio whatsoever. In this particular instance for which I have been blocked, I would like to point out that the content in question narrated a short episode in four sentences, and could only be expressed in a limited number of ways while not eliminating useful details. I would believe this would be admissible under Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing#When there are a limited number of ways to say the same thing. I also ensured there was inline citation of the original source. Please find below the content added, and the original source. If it the close paraphrasing is deemed admissible, I would request to be unblocked. The International Monetary Fund wanted to strengthen its financial expertise in the aftermath of the 1998 Asian financial crisis. American economist Anne Krueger, then the IMF’s deputy managing director, had recently read Rajan's book Saving Capitalism from the Capitalists, coauthored with Luigi Zingales, and reached out to him to understand if he would be interested in being chief economist. While Rajan seemed to harbour reservations initially, reportedly telling here, “Well, Anne, I don’t know any macroeconomics”, he flew out for an interview, and was subsequently appointed.[citation here] He was the youngest individual, and the first nonwestern, to be appointed the chief economist at the IMF. He served in the position from October 2003 to December 2006. But the IMF picked Rajan for a reason: it wanted to build up its financial expertise in the wake of the Asian financial crisis of the late 1990s. Anne Krueger, then the IMF’s second in command as first deputy managing director, had recently read a book Rajan coauthored with Luigi Zingales, Saving Capitalism from the Capitalists (2003), so she called Rajan. When asked if he would be interested in being chief economist, Rajan says he told her: “Well, Anne, I don’t know any macroeconomics.” To which Krueger joked, “Neither do I.” He decided to give it a shot and flew out for an interview. Thanks a lot!

Kunal Kamra
[edit]Kunal Kamra article is recovered and I'm given a chance to improve the article.
Can you please help in making the article richer?
New news sources are available now too. Accesscrawl (talk) 10:01, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
- Sure, happy to help! Is there a link to the discussion page, just so I understand the improvements asked for? Shobhit102 | talk 10:10, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
- I think you remember the AFD (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kunal Kamra) I couldn't agree with the deletion and I have recently learned that AFD can be disputed at WP:DRV. AFD would've been overturned if someone could dispute the AFD. Anyway, you can add more sources if you have discovered any about this subject. I will start expanding that article after sometime. Please ping my name when you reply Accesscrawl (talk) 17:29, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Shobhit, Draft:Kunal Kamra is under review. Please add info if you feel like. Accesscrawl (talk) 03:38, 4 November 2018 (UTC)

Ways to improve The Upstarts
[edit]Hi, I'm Bennv3771. Shobhit102, thanks for creating The Upstarts!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The article is currently WP:Orphan. Please also add appropriate categories, I've already added one for you. And note that book titles should be italicised.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Democracy on the Road moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Democracy on the Road, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
