Last Day on Wikipedia
[edit]As of today, I am resigning from Wikipedia. Thank you all for all the advance in the talk page. I will miss you all dearly. I will visit the website, will not be editing. ScottAHudson 22:33, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
I will be returning to Wikipedia as an editor on December 11 when the block expires. I will not have many articles, just Amazing Race 1 and 7 pages. All the pages from last time will not be returning. We will make short Big Brother 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 pages. I will also commit to be careful with editing. ScottAHudson (talk) 18:24, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- I'm concerned about who this "we" is. Each account can only be used by one person. And, again, the multiple pages in your userspace are inappropriate if not related to the creation of an encyclopedia. --Maxamegalon2000 20:14, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, but they will be test pages and I will note that they contribute under the heading for the list in my main page. ScottAHudson (talk) 21:34, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
- I look forward to seeing how the pages do contribute. Calling them test pages and noting that they contribute under a heading doesn't mean they actually are test pages and they actually do contribute. --Maxamegalon2000 00:22, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Pages That Will Be Created
2. Big Brother 4 Test
3. Big Brother 7 Test
4. Big Brother 3 Test
5. Amazing Race 1 Test
6. Amazing Race 12 Test
I expect these to be deleted a month-three months after they are created. ScottAHudson 18:14, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Just make sure that they're actually testing something, and that the test can be implemented in the articles with consensus from other users. --Maxamegalon2000 18:28, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- I am actually going to do a tribe chart and boot order chart for the Survivor seasons. Seasons 1, 2, 7, 8 and 10 will be blank. The other The pages listed above will be created. ScottAHudson 14:41, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- You all keep blocking me and you have to understand that some of the edits you call unconstructive were just to help the articles. It was ridiculous that you gave me a month-long block. Why can't it be a week next time? ScottAHudson (talk) 11:46, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. You may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did to Survivor: Panama, makes it harder to read. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. none of these recent edits make any sense. your edits are inconsistent with all other instances of what you're changing. i see no rationale for them. [edit]I'm having a hard time understanding how User:ScottAHudson/Yearly Weight Loss is related to this encyclopedia. I'm also concerned that the edits to the numerous user subpages you've created are being used for personal reasons rather than test pages; only 4 of your last 146 edits have been in the article namespace. We've discussed these types of issues before; please show that your subpages contribute to the project or have them deleted. I'd prefer to not have to nominate them all again. --Maxamegalon2000 18:22, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

- so what? "While it is not policy, editors are strongly advised to follow it.". the page clearly has nothing to do with wikipedia, or improving articles here. it belongs on a personal website, somewhere other than wikipedia. this is a common sense interpretation of a guideline that editors are asked to follow. [edit]Hey ScottAHudson. I have changed the font size on my web browser to make it smaller, so that it does not appear in big arial style font. Hope i answered your question. Also, i have seen your tables and such and they look good. If i make any more you are welcome to put them on your page and edit them as you wish. I only ask that you do not edit my tables on my site to update them, as i am not able to watch the episodes as they first air and may be delayed in seeing them for up to 2-3 days and thus some updates could spoil the outcome of the episode for me. I have also noticed that you are trying to lose some weight, and i would like to wish you luck :) If you have any questions or queries, don't hesitate to send me a message! Your editing
[edit]I think it is time, once again, to take a look at your editing here. I'd first like to remind you of previous discussions that several editors have had with you about your contributions, this one for example. Looking at your contribution summary, it shows that you still would rather be editing your own personal subpages, rather than working anywhere else. As you know, WP:USERPAGE states that "While userpages and subpages can be used as a development ground for generating new content, this space is not intended to indefinitely archive your preferred version of disputed or previously deleted content or indefinitely archive permanent content that is meant to be part of the encyclopedia." . The content within your subpages isn't helping the articles that they correspond to; they only contain your preferred versions of articles. Wikipedia is not a free web host and I fail to see how these subpages benefit the encyclopedia. Also, your recent contributions show that the concerns I raise are active concerns.
Unless I am missing something, and these subpages actually do serve some purpose to benefit the encyclopedia, I think it would be best for you to request deletion of them. - Rjd0060 (talk) 01:33, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Scott when you want to delete one of your pages add {{db-author}} to the top of the page you want to delete.
Survivor: Micronesia Article
[edit]Hey ScottAHudson. I noticed you changed the color of the dabu tribe on the survivor micronesia page to another. I agree with you 100%, but you will probably be reverted since consensus on the talk page is for the old color. If you would like it to permanently be changed, add your opinion to the ongoing debate on the talk page. Thanks, Survivorfan101 (talk) 12:28, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Has been moved to this if you had wanted to keep up with it.
Some words of advise
[edit]Scott, now is the time to step up and show you are a good editor. Start contributing to the main space. Don't go around changing things like colors in tables to your liking. First go to the discussion page and suggest a change. If your suggestion is not received by consensus, then just shrug it off and move on. Not everyone sees eye to eye on everything. Use your sub pages as a training ground for yourself. When your done with them delete them. If you need advise search for it. I really think you have great potential for becoming a very good editor on Wikipedia. Stand by your word. If you say you are going to delete something by completion then do so. Good luck. --pete 23:44, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Advise
[edit]Scott, do you take me to be a fool? After I stood up for you and I offered encouragement to you, and then you turned around and either did it yourself or had someone else do it for you by trying to make a stance of consensus being reached through anonymous IP users. It seems really strange that all those anonymous users are coming out of the same ISP. Plus I do have information that it might be you or at least coming out of the same ISP from past anonymous IP user edits. Thus, even though I learned things from your editing. (Yes there was a lot I deleted here) I think it is time for you to decide what your next move is on Wikipedia. Either become a good editor or just move on to something else. With no thanks to you, I am now going to have to issue apologies to all the users in the MfD about my statement about the witch hunt. Your actions are increasingly becoming more evident that your intentions do not meet with Wikipedia standards. Again it is your choice what you want to do on Wikipedia. --pete 00:13, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- Generally, only administrators close deletion discussions. Beyond that, it's inappropriate for any of the participants in the debate to close it either. Also, please stop casting multiple votes. Jeaneawhitney pointed out that a lot of anonymous votes are coming from your hometown. At some point you may have to explain that phenomenon. --Maxamegalon2000 17:46, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
Re: ScottAHudson Page Debate
[edit]Re your message: The normal five day discussion has ended, but per the instructions on the Old Business section: Editors may continue to add comments until the discussion is closed but they should keep in mind that the discussion may be closed at any time without further notice. Since the pages under discussion are your pages, I strongly discourage you from attempting to close the discussion or comment further about it not being closed. [edit]Hi, I reverted your edit where you deleted the "none" statuses from the infobox, those are needed because when the HouseGuests are revealed the infobox will be switched over to "housemates", right now since there is no housemates and we just have a logo the infobox is set for "endgame" to hide the legend. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 15:43, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
