Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Vehicle registration plates of Finland, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Hame, Lappi and Kymi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Vehicle registration plates of Croatia may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Other conflicts?

Thank you very much for putting up the maps of conflicts that we can mark points on to inform wikipedia users and readers of the changing natures of various conflicts.

I was wondering if you could create some more maps for currently ongoing relevant conflicts involving territory changing hands. My main suggestion is the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as that is continuing in spite of the ceasefire. PutItOnAMap (talk) 12:24, 29 April 2016 (UTC)

File:Abm-yellow-icon-2.png

Hello SMB99thx,

first of all, thanks for your great contributions for the civil war map modules/templates! It's really essential for these maps.

Some time ago, you changed the Abm-yellow-icon-2.png to a more yellow look. In itself, that was a logical and good change. But unfortunately, the yellow icons without border are barely visible on the white or yellow ground on the map... Would you mind changing it back or do you have an other opinion there?

Oh yes! Because the incident about leads in the Opinion polling for the Irish general election, 2016 and Next Irish general election (where you won't let me do it because you want a consensus first), i have become more fearful (which led me to become passive-agressive to you) to add leads in other elections i'm currently planning now (for e.g. New Zealand and more). I don't want to remove that mention for now, sorry.--SMB99thx XD (contribs) 10:41, 22 December 2016 (UTC)
As a note, i also planned to make that (leads) dispute to it's talk page (also with my wanted changes like for example, "Graphical summary" as a section) to get a consensus intended, but i'm also fearful about it because of possibility getting myself in debate not helped by anyone then rejected. --SMB99thx XD (contribs) 10:51, 22 December 2016 (UTC)

Hello, SMB99thx. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Opinion polling for the next Portuguese legislative election, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Vehicle registration plates of Pennsylvania

"Bluebird207, please come in this time. Because, if you leave this in "present" you won't update this anyway so i can't see what is the most recent serial used by Pennsylvania right now. That's confusing."

Perhaps I should tell you that I haven't edited the Pennsylvania article for nearly two and a half years - and I have actually been quite reluctant to even visit this article during this time, let alone edit it.

Because the last time I edited it, towards the end of 2014, a rather troublesome user kept reverting my edits without explanation. (I'd rather not name this user, although you can find out by looking over the revision history.) I took the matter to ANI, and it eventually resulted in this user getting blocked indefinitely - which made me feel so guilty that I've stayed away from the article ever since.

However, since you clearly prefer the presence of the most recent serial to the word "present", I shall end this self-imposed exile from the article and make the appropriate edit. I can't say I'll shake off the bad memories, though...

Thanks and regards, Bluebird207 (talk) 22:50, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

@Bluebird207 Thank you, please don't think about these vandalistic users again. Generally i don't like vandals because i think they are disrupting what i want to read about. Occasionally they are so disruptive that i'll send the said page to be locked or block them using administrators intervention. Unlike you, i fear admins more than vandals because i'm still trying to be fully mature on Wikipedia and they give me a lessons for me to do. So, that's why you had to not fear much about vandals. Now, if you don't know, i have edited many others too (particularly removing "present" so you'll update that), they are: Vehicle registration plates of Tennessee, Vehicle registration plates of Florida, Vehicle registration plates of Colorado, Vehicle registration plates of Nevada, Vehicle registration plates of Vermont, Vehicle registration plates of Georgia (U.S. state) and Vehicle registration plates of Utah. I don't know about most recent serials they have and i need you to point out all of them. Please be careful for some places though, maybe you'll die but i hope the God can help you :) Anyways, thanks! --SMB99thx XD (contribs) 23:38, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

Ways to improve Opinion polling for the Polish parliamentary election, 2007

Hi, I'm Hydronium Hydroxide. SMB99thx, thanks for creating Opinion polling for the Polish parliamentary election, 2007!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Direct external links (rather thank cites) are more subject to linkrot if the site changes its structure, and might be less likely to be archived.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 05:38, 18 June 2017 (UTC)

Some advice...

With the very greatest of respect, SMB99thx, your message on my talk page did kind of come across as badgering to some extent, for three reasons: it was very long (over 5,600 bytes), you explicitly said "I want you to..." and "I would like you to...", and you asked me to edit just about every US and Canadian license plate article that has missing or incorrect information.

I'm sure you didn't mean for it to come across as badgering (that is the trouble with the written word, alas - it is rather one-dimensional). But you have to understand that just because I edit most of these articles so frequently, doesn't mean that I actually own these articles - displaying a behaviour of article ownership on Wikipedia is a crime. Other users can edit these articles in their own ways (re-wording, filling in missing info, adding references, etc), and however frequently.

Asking one user to edit all these articles also places an awful lot of responsibility on that user, who may well have other commitments (and not just those involving a computer or mobile device). And, above all, these articles will never be perfect - there will always be new plates to add, there will always be content that at least one user disagrees with, and of course there will always be the possibility of trolls doing their dirty work.

As the Rolling Stones famously sang in 1969, "you can't always get what you want".

Please don't feel I'm mad at you here - all I'm doing is offering some advice for the future.

Thanks and regards, Bluebird207 (talk) 15:25, 24 June 2017 (UTC)

  • I know you for not owning these articles actually, you really don't own that. However you are behind the most updates on these articles. That's why i asked you into it. If i didn't say about it then i think you won't be caring about remaining passenger plates that aren't still fully known yet. But okay, thanks and good luck on your work! :)--SMB99thx XD (contribs) 22:29, 24 June 2017 (UTC)

Request moves

I'm just curious why do you seem so insistent on dropping the year from titles of hurricane articles? Or are you just bored? You often provided weak arguments like "this seem only to be most notable of all" or that " out that is more prominent than any other Normans" that aren't backed by policy, such as In your latest move, you moved Typhoon Pamela (1976) to Typhoon Pamela without any discussion when the 1972 version hit China and the Philippines according to the NDCC killed four people there? YE Pacific Hurricane 04:02, 22 July 2017 (UTC)

@Yellow Evan I am not bored, but you had to know that i tend to prefer dropping years from the titles when i found something that is, in my belief, more jutting than any other incarnations of "something". You now asked me, "I'm just curious why do you seem so insistent on dropping the year from titles of hurricane articles?". Okay, here's why. If i found that "example" is more jutting out (generally based on searches and pageviews) than other incarnations of this "example", i want to make sure that the title should not look to complex while making sure that other people would be more easy to understand about that storm and also more easier to find. This is because if that year is not dropped on that article, i believe that other people might not fully believe THAT storm is notable for some obvious juts (so this might make people not too much understand about the storm), and harder to find. So, based on that reasons, i really wanted to make Wikipedia good, complete (this is why i want Vehicle registration plate articles to be full and complete!), and somewhat simple (insistent on dropping the years from titles of TC articles, only if it's pretty notable). That reason could tell you why i am doing all of this.--SMB99thx XD (contribs) 04:35, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
You have good intentions here, but the problem is what you may view as more notable is not what someone else would view as more notable, hence why WP:PRIMARYTOPIC exists, an official Wikipedia policy. Even so, with a year, an article topic is not hard to find; we have set index pages for a reason. Our job isn't to tell the reader why a topic is more notable than another topic of the same name but to provide comprehensive information on the topics, and let the reader from his or her own opinion. Regards. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:01, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
Thank you. And now you can try to see Talk:Typhoon Ida (1958) and please see Jasper Deng's oppose statement. He seems to be more like an activist to stop me now, so i'll yield to it by trying to stop and drop this nomination as quickly as possible. However i am reluctant to do it since it could violate policy on moving articles. So, now i had to ask you a question @Yellow Evan, can i tag it as a closed before it hits 7-day mark? I wanted to do it to prevent more conflicts originating from my actions. (And this time on, i promise to stop doing these nominations on these articles, the tropical cyclone articles.)--SMB99thx XD (contribs) 05:11, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
Just say you withdraw the nomination on the talk page. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:15, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
@Yellow Evan: Done. I withdrawn that nomination. And i'll promise from the withdrawal message that i will not do these RM on tropical cyclone articles again, for ever.--SMB99thx XD (contribs) 05:23, 22 July 2017 (UTC)

Your signature

I'm not sure if it's still your current one, but in this diff you use a signature which looks quite distracting and confusing, which may be a violation of WP:CUSTOMSIG/P - it'd help if you could change it to something a bit more readable and less brain-hurty? Could you help me making Monaco medical cases chart?

I only know that the country has 99 cases, (4 died) and 94 recoveries. Help, there is no chart. --Bedrić Wałetą 23:12, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

I will do it if i have time to do so. When i made Guatemala chart it took me about 6 hours with my phone (since my laptop is broken right now). Meanwhile, i have a work to do in Kazakhstan and Qatar. SMB99thx Email! 23:20, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
Emailed you. Also away from Oceania (as it says in email), also make Africa, Asia charts, America, and try to find european countries. update some, and do those things that doesn't have charts.

Thanks. I was confused (and fearful) at that time because of Bedriczwaleta's mental state. SMB99thx Email! 23:17, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
I think this is a matter that emergency@wikimedia.org is good on. I've decided that emailing Functionaries will not be enough. Also i have decided that i won't interact with that user (Bedriczwaleta) at any capacity for indefinite time to avoid conflict to happen again. NIO seasons

Thanks for splitting off the individual NIO season articles for the 50s to the 70s! Do you need any help finding info to flesh them out more? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:45, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

Yes, and i need help for that stuff. I'm currently working on 1950 season and 1951 season, so i can't do any work on 1960s and 1970s seasons unless someone could gladly help me. I'm sorry for demanding help like that, but in Wikipedia there is a strong collaboration spirit and it's one of many attractions on Wikipedia. SMB99thx Email! 23:00, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
I completely agree about that collaborative spirit. So for storms of any year, check out the International Best Track. This has some old reports from the India Meteorological Department. Just select 1950, you'll find some storms. Also, there are two users who I know for a fact can help, Jason Rees (talk · contribs) and Jasper Deng (talk · contribs). Does this help at all? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 01:50, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
I did visit some of these sources two days ago, and yes they are helpful. The only problem is the time i have since i tend to burn out. This is why i'm looking for help (or collaboration) because of that problem. Thanks for letting me know about Jasper Deng and Jason Rees that they are helpful, i will look for help from them. However, i used to have unpleasant interactions with Jasper Deng three years ago. I hope that he will get over it soon. SMB99thx Email! 02:15, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
I don't know about your dispute, but I imagine that we all have a fresh perspective after the last few months we've all had. As for burnout, just do what you feel like. If you're interested in a different type of article, maybe something like Tropical cyclones in Andhra Pradesh, or Gujarat, or some random area. There are already articles for List of Sri Lanka tropical cyclones, List of Bangladesh tropical cyclones, List of Horn of Africa tropical cyclones, List of Arabian Peninsula tropical cyclones, List of tropical cyclones that affected Myanmar, and List of tropical cyclones in Pakistan, so India is the only country left in the basin that doesn't have a list for storms affecting the country. Part of that is because there are so many storms that hit India each year, which is why I believe it's best to go by each union territory. Just some food for thought from a fellow editor. Thanks for all of your contributions so far. It can often be a thankless task, writing for Wikipedia. It's not the kind of thing most people bring up to their friends (unless they're nerds - I'm a bit of a self-professed nerd). ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 02:38, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
Thanks a lot. I don't like explaining as i tend to be afraid of people who have done something to me. Also i don't think that NIO will be my primary focus as i would like to focus on another basin (West Pacific). I'm planning to create articles there alongside NIO basin. SMB99thx Email! 06:00, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
Awesome, there are a ton of WPAC articles that are needed as well. WPAC can get annoying because there are a lot of warning centers to mention, but that means you'll rarely be lacking for sources. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 12:34, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Hi SMB99thx, Sorry I havent been in touch but its been a bit of a manic week. Anyway I am happy to jump in and help you out with the NIO seasons where I can, however, for now I feel that the various seasons of the 1950's should be lumped together rather than split off into invidual seasons. This is because there was no satellite imagery of the systems until the 1960s and thus details on each system will be limited. However, this does not mean that I am against the splitting of the seasons full stop at the appropiate time. :) Jason Rees (talk) 10:34, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

Thank you. What i'm doing right now is continuing if not completing the Supportstorm (talk · contribs) and Cyclonebiskit (talk · contribs)'s grand project from 2013 at behest of Hurricanehink. They never completed the project, so i decided to go for it. This was in my plan since last year, but i can't do it at the time because my laptop is broken. I'll tell you soon on your talk page tomorrow. BTW, the reason why i want to split 1950 and 1951 seasons because there are storm tracks made for each of these seasons.SMB99thx Email! 13:19, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

An article you recently created, 1920s North Indian Ocean cyclone seasons, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. SMB99thx, I just want to thank you for putting a lot of work on the NIO season articles from the 1940s to the present. A lot of editors just focus on the Atlantic and EPacific hurricane season, while the NIO and WPAC season articles don't get much quality editing. I, and probably most of the people from WikiProject Tropical cyclones, are very grateful for a hardworking and experienced editor like you.
I saw that you moved a lot of pages recently. Many of those pages you moved from created redirects that didn't make sense, like the redirect 1971 Odisha Cyclone was redirected to Pre-1900 North Indian Ocean cyclone seasons. That happens sometimes, especially after a big move or several moves. Just make sure to clean up after you moves, a lesson I learned myself from Yellow Evan several months ago. Thanks for your work for WPTC!! ~ Destroyeraa🌀 19:51, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

Old revision

Hi :) In this edit, I think you brought back data from an old revision by mistake? I was about to update the data for another country when I saw that the data for several other countries had an access date of August 23. LSGH (talk) (contributions) 05:16, 27 August 2020 (UTC)

LSGH, Yes. I forgot about it! It was accidental, as I did not notice what i'm doing until you noticed me. I undid that revision and did what i want to do - changing Iraq's reference - as they did not give epidemiological information for 24 August. I also found out that you planned to update South Korea. And i did update the country's totals in the template. Thanks a lot! SMB99thx my edits 05:28, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
At first, I saw just the shorter reply after the fix, hence my delayed reply here. I checked the Facebook page of Iraq's health ministry, and it looks like it was an error on their part. They did post an update for that date here, but it may have been lost in the middle of their other posts, or they do not give the update at the same time every day? Again, welcome and cheers! A tag has been placed on Category:COVID-19 pandemic in Sierra Leone requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Sidowpknbkhihj's New Sock Puppet Information

Thank you for your quick response. I'm sorry many times. It looks like Sidowpknbkhihj made a sock puppet again. Vandjn (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is the account1. The editing tendency is the same as the typhoon meranti (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) account. Also, the editing in Pilgrim Airlines Flight 458 is the same as the previous sock puppet.2400:2410:C1C0:9800:7155:4B4D:C0DA:C1F2 (talk) 04:51, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

I'm thinking about letting Vandjn rip and creating as many articles it wants, but after requesting merge on an article, i decided to jump in for action and filed a SPI against it. Since this is a duck, it's likely that Sidowpknbkhihj finally gets banned on English Wikipedia for 3X. I'm considering to file a global ban request for comment in Meta, and 3X enwiki ban will be enough. Otherwise, thanks a lot. SMB99thx my edits 05:16, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for taking the initiative in working on the older season articles! Some of the first articles I did on Wikipedia (way back in 2006!) were working on some of the older seasons in the Atlantic. I'm so glad to see, over the years, all of the attention to storms new and old. Keep up the good work, especially when it feels like no one is watching. Believe me, people watch, people care, and people like me thank you! ^_^ ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 01:26, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

DYK for Typhoon Yancy (1990)

On 3 September 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Typhoon Yancy (1990), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the path of Typhoon Yancy wobbled in a trochoidal pattern as it approached Taiwan? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Typhoon Yancy (1990). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Typhoon Yancy (1990)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hello SMB99thx. Destroyeraa (a little bit of a fun fact) I see Tropical cyclones in 2020 by JTWC draft will not ever have a chance at making the cut. To give this draft a "second life" I changed the concept of this draft from that into Tropical cyclones in 2008, which is in line with project goals. As such, "Tropical cyclones in 2008" is the first tropical cyclones by year article to be ever created by an IP (Tropical cyclones in 2013 should have been created by an IP, but unfortunately it didn't survive), though not inline with IP's intentions. I can finish it, maybe more people can help along the way. I'll message the draft here once I have created the lead. CyclonicStormYutu (talk) 13:08, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
@SMB99thx: I will leave the rest of the lead to you, I will do Meteorological history, you do the first section of Impacts, I do the second, and vice versa. Also, here it is: Cyclone Rhonda

The lead is done, CyclonicStormYutu. SMB99thx my edits 07:59, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

With all due respect SMB99thx and CyclonicStormYutu, I don't think Rhonda needs an article. Many Australian region storms get retired for no reason, even if they caused no deaths and minimal impact. Feel free to work on Tropical Cyclone Josie or another storm. ~ Destroyeraa🌀 12:48, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
Well, Rhonda was strong for a tropical cyclone in the Southern Hemisphere in the month of May. CyclonicStormYutu (talk) 12:54, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
Destroyeraa Thanks. I would like to ask: Did you ever make visits to Wikipedia:WikiProject Tropical cyclones/Article requests page? I frequently visited this page, and Cyclone Rhonda happens to be listed there. SMB99thx my edits

CyclonicStormYutu It is unfortunate, but your article isn't going to be created. Consider helping us in helping 2018 FT by working in Cyclone Josie or Cyclone Keni. That would be helpful. SMB99thx my edits 13:10, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

SMB99thx, I saw that the Dorian article for the Carolinas had been created. Nice job! I added prose to the SC impacts/aftermath and some pics. ~ Destroyeraa🌀 13:24, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

Alert from WikiProject Current Events

Hello. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Current events format is currently being updated. However, one new change is a section for "Current discussions". The Portal:Current events has debates all the time to determine if things are notable for the portal (international news) or if they are better suited for a place like 2020 in the United States. In the past, small 'edit wars' have taken place between editors over topics. This new section on the WikiProject is a new place where editors can discuss between each other and have an easy access to 'outside opinion' from other participates. Members in the Current Event WikiProject are welcome to invite other editors that have disagreements to start the discussion on the WikiProject. (Unlike RFC's, discussions about topics would be about 1 week or whenever the topic is no longer relevant from the WikiProject).

Thank you for reading and thank you for participating in the Current Event WikiProject! (Current Event WikiProject Coordinator) Elijahandskip (talk) 19:09, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

Any suggestions

Do you have any suggestions for a way to organize the COVID articles on the Current Event WikiProject? At first, I thought about the drop down lists, but they are limited to 8 items per list. I am open to any suggestions. Thanks, Elijahandskip (talk) 18:51, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

Consider categorizing drop-down list into several drop-down lists. For example, there must be a list for COVID-19 pandemic in South Asia (which will include Afghanistan, Nepal, Maldives, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Bhutan), and so for COVID-19 pandemic in Western United States (Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Washington, Oregon). PHS mergers

Which storms in the Pacific hurricanes were you thinking about merging? NoahTalk 01:39, 18 November 2020 (UTC)

@Hurricane Noah: Hurricane Fausto (2008), Hurricane Hernan (2008), Tropical Depression One-E (2009), Tropical Depression Sixteen-E (2004), Tropical Storm Blanca (2009), and Tropical Depression Two-E (2006). It also includes Hurricane Kristy (2006) (which was not requested by me, but I found out that it is merge worthy). SMB99thx my edits 01:43, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
Just be aware I am working on saving Bud. It should be done by the end of the month. I realize the actual article is in pretty bad shape right now, but I got Hector and Walaka improved significantly already. NoahTalk 02:11, 18 November 2020 (UTC)

List of STY...

Hi, there! Thanks so much for helping for updating the Lists of Pacific XX typhoons. For the List of Super typhoons, since the "super typhoon" category includes both the high-end Cat4 and Cat5, I believe it is best to merge the two and colour code the sections like in the normal Season effects table? Just to let you know since I am down to update that list too. Typhoon2013 (talk) 09:35, 18 November 2020 (UTC)

I'm in favor of merging high-end Cat 4 and Cat 5 typhoon articles, as well as color code the sections. But, not for the rest of Cat 4 typhoons, they must be separate. SMB99thx my edits 09:37, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, that is what I thought too. There should be a separate article just for the Category 4 non-STY. Also yeah I'll try to do both the JMA and the JTWC in the same time haha I actually enjoy doing this, especially how the WPac is the one with the least "List of XX" articles. For the JMA categories I am also starting from the highest classification since it's the easiest. Thoughts on the pressure, though? Do you think we should also use the JTWC pressure on this or stick with JMA? Typhoon2013 (talk) 10:24, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
Typhoon2013, for JMA categories, please use JMA pressure. Not sure for JTWC though (though I recommend JTWC pressure for consistency, personally) SMB99thx my edits 10:26, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, definitely. For the JTWC pressure I am leaning towards using the JTWCs too for the consistency. Perhaps we should just have a mention somewhere that the winds and pressure were both classified by the JTWC or something? Typhoon2013 (talk) 10:31, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
Yep, go for it! SMB99thx my edits 10:32, 18 November 2020 (UTC)

Your kindness :)

We need more kind and accepting editors like you on Wikipedia. Your encouraging attitude towards CyclonicallyDeranged, Cristianpogi, and Chicdat are unparalleled. I wish there were more editors like you when I first joined. Here's a sneak peak at my opinion piece:

I created my Wikipedia account on January 18, 2020. I seems so long ago. My first edit was creating my user page, and my first mainspace edit was on Hammonton, New Jersey. My first autoconformed edit was on my userpage. By then, I was editing about myself and roads. My first tropical cyclone edit was on January 30, on Tropical Storm Nestor, which got reverted. I also edited about the coronavirus epidemic before it became a worldwide pandemic. I edited List of United States tornadoes in April 2020, but got bitten on the talk page, though my love for tornadoes kept me editing pages. I also began editing numerous cyclone pages, and joined WPTC on May 19. It was sad that no one noticed that I joined, and no one welcomed me on my talk page for five months already. I submitted my first article, Tropical Storm Bertha (2020), which was accepted. I was still rather new, and mistook Chicdat as an admin. It was June already. Still, no one welcomed me. Finally, on June 5, Hurricanehink took notice of my edits and welcome me! Around the same time, I downloaded Twinkle. I found the CSD function very cool, and I admittedly didn't read WP:CSD and misused it. One month later, I met my first real vandal, which turned out to be a Force Thirteen kid who was messing around changing everything to Force Thirteen without leaving a source or an edit summary, which most people will take as vandalism. It turned out to be pretty rough, see here, and the kid got blocked. The kid obviously pouted, I ranted back, guy called me stupid and threatened me. I stopped yelling and gave an explanation, and the kid called me "brainless" and a "jerk". I added a NPA warning, which got reverted by this admin. I replied to the kid. I'll never forget the admin for siding with the vandal and not revoking the kid's talk page access even after they called me "jerk", "brainless", "stupid" among other rude words. ~ Destroyeraa🌀 15:08, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

Also, on a brighter note, if there's any drafts or forks of old typhoons you're finished working on, please submit through AfC so I can review them. I got accepted into WP:WPAFC and now can officially review drafts.~ Destroyeraa🌀 15:26, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello I am not familiar with the jargon here so forgive me if this is directed inappropriately. I understand you have reviewed my proposed wiki page for Wildcat Stage Productions for which much thanks. However you have rejected it for the use of copyright material. As far as as I am aware there is no copyright material on the page except the picture. I have sought and received permission from the copyright owner to use the picture and I thought I had duly uploaded the declarations as required. However this is my first Wiki page so it is entirely possible I have done it wrong. Can you advise fruther? With thanks Robert Dawson Scott Robert Dawson Scott (talk) 11:44, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

@Robert Dawson Scott: The problem is within the text, not the picture. The picture is okay. New page reviewer granted

Hi SMB99thx. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group. Please check back at WP:PERM in case your user right is time limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page. In addition, please remember:

  • Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
  • If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page. Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. signed, Rosguill talk 22:39, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

I do want to add a quick note that I disagree with your decision to decline Rosing prize at AfC and have moved it to mainspace––the article could use some work, but it has enough context to identify the subject. signed, Rosguill talk 22:42, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
