Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. [edit]

Smile emoji Hi RockviewLove! Thank you for your edits to Apostolic-Prophetic Movement. It looks like you've copied or moved text from C. Peter Wagner into that page, and while you are welcome to re-use the content, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. If you've copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thanks! DanCherek (talk) 12:33, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you for the nice message. I learnt something new today. But after you contacted me, another person came in and reverted most of the article anyway. Apparently they think that it may have to merge with another page. I have put back some of the changes, but not all of them, hopefully they stick. Happy wikiing. Control copyright icon Hello RockviewLove! Your additions to The Climate Coalition have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:08, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Freedom of religion in Bhutan. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 20:40, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reflecting sources

[edit]

Hi. Please take more care that text you add or change is reflective of the sources. In this series of edits you claimed (twice) that UCD Economics Society was "re-named as the Commerce & Economics Society". When (a) this is not true and (b) none of the sources you added or linked made or supported any such claim. Guliolopez (talk) 16:17, 21 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Use of Prabook as a source

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution (second request)

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Unification Church into Freedom of religion in Japan. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 20:51, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please don't change the format of dates, as you did to William McKeown. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.

For more information about how dates should be written on Wikipedia, please see this page.

If you have any questions about this, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Thank you. Denisarona (talk) 06:58, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Rosie Stancer. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. I have added back templates for BLP sources and BLP self-published sources, as these still apply. Tacyarg (talk) 21:05, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Date formats

Hi RockviewLove I noticed on both Cross-Community Labour Alternative and Labour Party in Northern Ireland you added sources with the date format of mdy dates. Articles on refugee/migrant rescue ships in the Mediterranean

[edit]

Hello @RockviewLove, many thanks for your recent edits on articles on refugee/migrant rescue ships and organisations operating in the Mediterranean- it's great to see more interest in the general topic and some expansions of the content in these articles. By way of a hint for the future, if you were to revisit some of these and look at the edit history, you can see that several have had their references expanded into 'cite web' template format- although this can seem a bit of a pain to begin with, they have the advantages that 1) the format is automatically checked when it's created and 2) various automatic processes help with maintaining them afterwards... so if you fancy trying templated referencing there are some examples to look at! Best wishes, Yadsalohcin (talk) 16:07, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
