I thought I would send you a WikiCard to make your day! I'm left-handed as well. SwisterTwister (talk) 19:53, 20 July 2010 (UTC
Hello. You could write also something of Alexandra Stan. If I am not wrong she tied with Kate Perry and David Guetta in this top, being number 1 at the end of her 5th consecutive week. You can write some rounds of her and also to mention her in the top.
DYK for True North (Once Upon a Time)
[edit]On 29 January 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article True North (Once Upon a Time), which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Emma Caulfield (pictured) was cast in a Once Upon a Time episode because the producers "couldn't think of anyone better to trap two children in a house and try to eat them"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/True North (Once Upon a Time). You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Callsign etiquette
[edit]I want to thank you for all you've added in 2015 in radio (& 2014 in radio, etc.). However, I wanted to point out one thing: you seem to be deleting suffixes from callsigns that are part of the legal callsign & adding them to stations that don't have them. For example: you put an -AM suffix on KKLS, whose legal callsign is just KKLS (A.M. stations are never assigned an -AM suffix by the FCC: they don't exist to the FCC), & in at least 2 instances deleted them off of F.M. stations that do have them (WSOL-FM & WSOS-FM) where not only is the -FM suffix part of the legal callsign, but there is an A.M. station that holds the base callsigns (WSOL is on 1090 in Puerto Rico & WSOS is on 1170 at St. Augustine Beach, Florida, in which both WSOS & WSOS-FM can be heard in the same area). As a helpful hint, if differentiating between the A.M. & F.M.s is needed (for example, WPRO & WPRO-FM which are both licensed to Providence), acceptable form is for the A.M. station to have AM in parentheses "(AM)" I hope this helps & thank you much for all you add!
- Again, I noticed with your latest edit on 2015 in Radio that you intentionally omitted the -FM suffixes from KIIS-FM & KOST-FM. They are the proper FCC-licensed callsigns. Why were they omitted? Also, why are -AM suffixes occasionally added when the FCC doesn't issue such things?

Aloha!
Last summer I moved to the Seattle area after 14 years in Kailua on Oahu. I immediately fell in with the Cascadia Wikimedians User Group as it formed, joined its board and became its first president as well as the GLAM representative for Washington State.
Recently, Adriel Luis, Curator (Digital & Emerging Media) at the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, contacted me about setting up an edit-a-thon like the previous Wikipedia APA edit-a-thon. In addition to discussing one for Seattle, he wrote:
“ | It's awesome to learn about your past in Honolulu - I'm actually going to be there for another SmithsonianAPA project mid September, and thinking that this could be an opportunity to do an event there as well! I have lots of contacts with UH and the museums, but do you know of any contacts on the Wikimedia side out there? | ” |
As I was working two jobs while I lived on Oahu, I did not have the opportunity to meet your or any other Wikipedians at the time. Hence, the reason why I am contacting you now.
If you would like to help, please contact me through one of these methods:
- Email me directly at peaceray@cascadia.wiki
- Use Special:EmailUser/Peaceray to email me
- Leave a message for me on my talk page.
Mahalo,
