Star Trek additions

[edit]

Please review the manual of style (linked above) -- your additions, well good-intentioned, do not fit with MediaWiki's coding and do not appear to be properly proofread. --EEMIV (talk) 13:51, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your edits to this article, but i'm afraid i've had to revert some of it. When adding links, make sure they are blue links, i.e. they have corresponding articles, rather than red links, they just make the article look a mess. Thanks--Jac16888 (talk) 20:45, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am sure of all my links as they are all from my personal record collection
I'm afraid they're not, if you use the show preview button to look at your edits, you can see that some will be red, which means they don't have articles, therefore they don't belong in the list. Just because you own some of their music, doesn't mean they're notable enough for inclusion, sorry. Please be more careful, thanks?--Jac16888 (talk) 21:45, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Bille Jenkins

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Bille Jenkins requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ~ akendall 03:51, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV series). Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. Proposed deletion of The Art of Coarse Rugby

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Art of Coarse Rugby, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Gwernol 13:13, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Skye Tallisker

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Skye Tallisker requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. TexMurphy (talk) 08:49, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I certyfie that Skye Tallisker is a work of fiction as she is a character in Watchers the Virtual series

Unsourced information -- second request

[edit]

Edit summaries

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions, to List of fictional schools as well as other articles. I noticed that you don't usually add an edit summary to your contributions and I would like to encourage you to do so, as it helps other editors see at a glance what you're doing. List of fictional quartets, etc

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you started creating a list on the category page for Category:Lists of fictional things. Instead, if you still think it is a good idea, create an article with a title such as List of fictional quartets, quintets, sextets and higher or List of fictional quartets and larger groups, and at the end of this page include the line [[Category:Lists of fictional things|Quartets]]. The existing List of fictional trios might be a good model. - Fayenatic (talk) 22:43, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Tipton Hotels

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Tipton Hotels, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

Speedy deletion of Rhinasu Galea

A tag has been placed on Tipton Hotels, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

File source problem with File:Brittany_Byrnes.jpg

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Brittany_Byrnes.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 08:45, 26 June 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 08:45, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Categories

[edit]

Hello. Please do not add article names to a category by inserting them on the category page. The proper way works the other way around, categories are updated automatically once you place something like [[Category:Foo]] at the bottom of an article page. An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of fictional spacecraft. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of fictional spacecraft. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:15, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
