User talk:REÇ
October 2012
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw how you edited or created Reč, and I noticed that the username you have chosen, "REÇ", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or have the appearance of shared use. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 22:48, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
Hello, REÇ, and thank you for your contributions!
I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, Rec,Ulcinj, is copied from another Wikipedia page, Reč. It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:
- a link to the article you copied from
- the date you copied it
You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.
If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.
Thanks again for helping build the free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 19:20, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Gjonaj Realty
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Gjonaj Realty requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ⁓ Hello71 17:55, 27 October 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Jonima family, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. Hello, I'm Widr. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Gjoni (Gjonaj) without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Widr (talk) 16:30, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

The article Kujtim Gjonaj has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. -- Patchy1 08:45, 9 December 2012 (UTC)

- There are guidelines which should be respected while editing wikipedia. One of them is Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section which says If an article's title is a formal or widely accepted name for the subject, display it in bold as early as possible in the first sentence. In case of biography article on Kujtim Gjonaj it is his name (full name comprising of first name and family name) which should be displayed in bold at the beginning of the first sentence of the article. Details about the clan his family descent from can be added later in the text of the article.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 18:26, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for the barnstars and beer.
- Thank you for your efforts. I am willing to help you with expanding Gjoni - Jonima articles. There is one important issue about it. There are no sources which connect Gjoni and Jonima name. I might be wrong. There is a guideline on wikipedia which says that English names should be used on English wikipedia (The title of an article should generally use the version of the name of the subject which is most common in the English language, as you would find it in reliable sources). There are hundreds of sources on English which refer to Jonima family as Jonima, none of them as Gjoni. You might be right that the alternative name or Albanian language name of this family is Gjoni. There is one of main wikipedia policies Wikipedia:Verifiability which says : "All the material in Wikipedia mainspace, including everything in articles, lists and captions, must be verifiable. All quotations and any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation that directly supports the material. Any material that needs a source but does not have one may be removed.". If you want to add the Gjoni assertion please present source where you found this information.
- Don't worry because of your language skills or knowledge of wikipedia policies. If you think it would help I can ask somebody who knows Albanian to translate parts of my comment that you don't understand.
- Gëzuar!--Antidiskriminator (talk) 22:35, 12 December 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ingrid Gjoni
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ingrid Gjoni requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Why the article was deleted
[edit]To write Ingrid Gjoni, it is obvious you started with this site and changed some of the words.
However, it is my opinion that the results constitute a Close paraphrasing of the original. I've found that if I copy and paste the material, and try to rewrite it, that it still ends up too close to the original. A better approach is to find more than one source (always desirable), then, put them aside, and write about the subject in one's own words. After writing, return to the original text, and determine whether it is too close (if you have a better memory than I do), or if some points would be better made by an explicit quote and attribution, with the quote suitably short.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 13:43, 17 December 2012 (UTC)

your edits
[edit]I have seen the message from you on my talk page. I regret that I am unable to do as you ask. The singer about whom you wish to write does not appear to possess what is called notability, which means that there is no reason to give him an encyclopedia article. There are many thousands of musicians in the world, but only those who can be shown to be in some way special find a place here. Also, your English is not very good, and I suggest that you either edit in the wikipedia of your own language or ask a native English speaker to help you before you submit articles. And finally, please note that biographical articles must include reliable third-party references.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 22:27, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- I have made no comment about Ingrid Gjoni, but in answer to your second comment on my talk page I will only say that if she is notable in Albania you have not shown this notability in the article. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 12:47, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi, the article you created explicitly refers to "Gjoni–Gjonaj [as an] ... Albanian surname in the region of Lezhe, Shkodra (northern Albania) and Ulqin (Montenegro)". To add information re locations with the names Gjonaj, et al, you should do so at Albania, where other Albanians and Albanian-language speakers who know far more than I do about the country can re-edit and fix any mistakes. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Vladislav Gjoni
[edit]The article Vladislav Gjoni has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- redirect left from cut-paste from Vladislav Jonima. "Vladislav Gjoni" is not used anywhere (misnomer).
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Zoupan 07:25, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
