Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, PurpleEmma! I am Mysdaao and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 18:04, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Gendercide. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. --Icarus (Hi!) 01:37, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PurpleEmma, since people have disagreed with your edits, you need to explain them on the talk page and try to reach a consensus instead of just repeating them over and over again. You're a new editor, so I know you mean well, but as I explained above, constantly reverting to your preferred version can get you banned. Neither one of us wants that to happen, so please use the talk page to discuss the changes you want to make, instead! You can reach the talk page for any article by clicking the tab labeled "discussion" near the very top of your browser window when you're looking at an article. --Icarus (Hi!) 01:21, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
