Expelled, Box Office Mojo, and weeks vs. weekends
[edit]Please, please, please...
I am now, for the third time, correcting "week" to "weekend" in the Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed article. Did you not read my comment to you here? [1]
Please look carefully at the figures, and at the table headings of the sources. American films are apparently primarily rated by their "weekend" figures, where a weekend is defined as Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The figures listed in the article are "weekend" figures. Add up the daily numbers if you need additional verification.
Thanks. --RenniePet (talk) 08:46, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Paper45tee, RenniePet is right about weekend v. weekday figures. You can prove it by examining the numbers at RottenTomatoes.
- Note that the cumulative numbers are more than the "Wkd" (weekend) numbers add up to. That's because the weekday numbers are not included in the weekend numbers. (Yeah, the "Wkd" caption is confusing.) Note, too, the tiny-print footnote: "Box office cumulative figures also include daily grosses from Monday through Thursday (not shown)." Inquiry on my talk page regarding quotemines
[edit]There's not much for Wikipedia to do about that since we are written from a neutral point of view. If someone like Weikart or Stein misquotes or quotes out of context and reliable sources notice that we can report what they said. But other than that not really. Please see Bobby Jindal talk page.
[edit]I removed your Jindal edit for the reasons listed on the talk page. Let's discuss the issue before getting into a revert war.DanielZimmerman (talk) 01:07, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Please stop reverting me and read the policy on pseudoscience. Paper45tee (talk) 19:10, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- I will continue to revert your edits to the Bobby Jindal page as long as you continue to place information there that is irrelevant to the Bobby Jindal article. Wikipedia is not a soapbox. DanielZimmerman (talk) 05:16, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
